“We lucked into the most magical day on our Cotswolds tour with Chris as our guide! What to say? We were excited for it but the tour so exceeded even our most hopeful expectations. Chris brought us to several villages-- and on the fly curated the trip around our expressed interests and those of the additional guest (who was also an amazing human and like a friend by the end of the tour!). He is unbelievably knowledgable. But what sets Chris apart is the way he distills complex history into an understandable story that very quickly facilitates enhanced appreciation for the deep significance of these places beyond their obvious beauty. I took pages of notes and came away with an intense desire to learn more about the place and British history. As an added bonus, Chris is funny, witty, helpful, kind, and interested. He is passionate about history and traveling and that all just enhanced is story telling. It truly was an experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to Chris for that gift. On the more business like side-- pick up was prompt, van was great, water appreciated, tea and lunch spots authentic and wonderfully charming. “We stayed at Bath Townhouse this weekend as a party of 7 hens and 1 bride to be, on the ground floor. What a fabulous place it is! It's in a really central location, so we could get to all the places we needed to within 5-10 mins on foot. It has chic decor, plenty of room and an awesome "cavern" area for parties. We were given everything we needed as well. The beds are so comfy I fell asleep immediately!! A must stay if you're going to Bath in a big group. Thank you for hosting us!”

“Amazing location for walking. The friendliest of welcomes. Very nice setup with guest area for making drinks and also a nice place to sit and enjoy the views, and on this occasion the new lambs. Everything you could need. The room was beautifully decorated. Dinner was by far the best quality of the whole trip. Hearty portion too. Immaculately clean rooms. Breakfast was carefully prepared according to request taken the previous evening. If you’re looking for a standout stay we suggest you book now.”

“Lovely traditional room. Great view. Special attentions for our dog, dog box (ball, treats, biscuits, poo bags), as well as a bed he loved and food bowls. Needed an earlier breakfast, which was no problem. Jean-Luc was very attentive to our needs, and we had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of Bath!”

“Everything about the apartment was five star. The customer service was excellent, very informative and made the whole checking in and checking out process easy. The location couldn’t be more central. You don’t even realise you’re slap bang in the middle of a city centre as it’s still really peaceful. The apartment itself is immaculate. It’s spacious, luxurious, and had the best terrace with the most incredible view over the cathedral and hills in the distance. You get so much more for your money than you ever would in a hotel. I will definitely be booking again.”

“Just arrived home following a 2 night stay at the Bath House which is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service (breakfast being served in our room!), comfort, hospitality and facilities, to name but a few things, are second to none. The attention to detail was exceptional and Kelly and John were wonderful hosts. I had mentioned in passing when booking that the trip was to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and when we were shown to our room we were amazed to see the mirrors in our room had been decorated with birthday balloons and a banner. That's service 'going beyond the extra mile'! I cannot praise them enough and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to all! Thank you for a wonderful stay”

“We stayed here for one night as we were travelling down south for a wedding. Communication with Pauline was fabulous and the room was absolutely lovely with everything we needed and there was also a kitchen area and a lounge area where you could get tea and coffee. Bed was very comfy and room was very cool which was needed as it was very hot outside. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful and the perfect pit stop for us. We would definitely recommend.”

“I don’t normally leave reviews but wanted to recognise the excellence of the team at No.15 in hosting a special birthday dinner for my wife and 12 friends. The service was impeccable - attentive but discrete, and the food of excellent quality. The private dining room has a large single table and high ceilings and was perfect for dinner parties. “We cannot fault our stay at Hotel Indigo, Bath. We were greeted so warmly by Emily & Alberto. Our vaulted room was incredible!! It was spacious, clean, comfortable & it had the biggest bath tub we've ever seen!! The hotel is located close to the city centre & was only a short stroll to the famous Roman Baths. In the evening, we spent some time in the bar & had some delicious cocktails. Check-out was quick & easy. We would absolutely recommend Hotel Indigo, Bath & we are definitely looking forward to staying again one day.”

“Lovely lodge everything you need. Kids very impressed with WiFi. Bistro on site amazing food and value for money cost online with any pub you go to staff all lovely. 15m drive to bath ( in bath no free parking for disabled and expensive ) Only complaint was did put on booking someone with mobility issue but parking on a slight incline (luckily the person with mobility issues didn't come) so was not a issue in this occasion but could of been. Curtains a bit frayed but no means spoilt the visit. Would def go back.”

“Booked in for Sunday roast which I can honestly say was the best roast I've had for a long time. So many pubs do roast very average but this was way above that. Everything was cooked lovely and the service was great. Well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back.”

“We recently had a wonderful stay at The Bath Priory Hotel whilst visiting our eldest at University. The location was perfect — peaceful yet only a short walk into town. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with views of the beautiful gardens. Breakfast was delicious, though service was a little on the slow side unfortunately. A special mention to the gardener, who truly made our stay memorable. She took the time to show us around parts of the garden, shared her incredible knowledge, helped carry our bags to the car, and even picked a few flowers for my husband and I as we left. Such a thoughtful gesture — we’ll never forget. We both said how refreshing it was to meet such a kind & enthusiastic young person. The facilities at the Spa were well maintained, creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place to unwind — we look forward to coming back again.”

“Stayed at Mr Darcy's House for my hen do and we all had an amazing time. The house was perfect for a hen do and we loved used the basement bunk room space for the evenings. The house was clean and nicely decorated and I would highly recommend it. Minnie was so helpful over email and there were nice special touches on our arrival which made it feel really special!”

“Couldn’t say more about our stay. Warmly greeted by cheerful and helpful staff. Primary contact at front desk (reception area pictured) during our stay was Charlie - informative and positive. We stayed in Rm 28 which looked over Bath’s recreation field (bowling lawn and croquet field) with Abbey in the distance. Only downside was lack of storage - challenge for us as we had a 5 night stay (seems most folks have shorter stays). The Plate has a good breakfast and dinners were varied and good (had our first Sunday roast beef dinner and it was memorable). Location provides 10-15 minute walkable access to a number of activities (rowing on the Avon, viewed our first cricket match, the Holbourne Museum, and all that Bath proper has to offer). I asked a former co-worker (Brit ex-pat) best place for holiday in Britain and he replied quickly, Bath. The Bird Bath made it that much better. Highly recommend.”

“Excellent location, easy 10 min stroll into town. The addition of parking was a welcome bonus, along with a late check out of 11am. We were in room 5, lovely spacious room, view over the green towards the Cathedral. We didn't hear any night traffic or noise on our stay so that was nice. Little kitchen area, with Kettle and Fridge. My only 'complaint' would be there wasn't enough tea bags for us, only 2 'normal' tea, rest were herbal but that's a big deal really. Would definitely stay here again if the occasion arose.”

“A cracking night at Bath Races! Me plus four friends headed up for the Friday evening meeting, which featured some fairly low-grade stuff on the card — but that didn’t take away from the excitement. We saw a few close finishes and even managed to pick out a couple of winners between us, which always helps! What really stood out was how reasonably priced everything was. The food stalls and bars were excellent value, and the range on offer hit the spot. There was live music afterwards which, while a little hit and miss, added to the overall atmosphere of a very enjoyable evening. Bath Racecourse is one of those charming, characterful venues that represent the very best of entry-level live sport in the UK. From the friendly old boy on the turnstile when we arrived, to the bucket shakers giving us a cheerful send-off, the whole experience was welcoming and good-natured. It’s been around 25 years since I last visited Bath Races, and I really hope it won’t be another 25 before I’m back. An inexpensive and thoroughly entertaining evening in a picture-postcard setting. Highly recommended!”

“Really clean, nice getaway. Check in experience was flawless, lovely area in converted "barn". Hosts leave a nice spread of food for you on arrival. Local community shop on doorstep & a Co-Op about 5 minutes drive away. Only negative is upstairs porthole window doesn't have a blind, but is easily overlooked.”
