“I visit this shop a lot .Not only to buy excellent gifts but the interactive & educational walkthrough part my grandchildren like very much especially the part where they dress at speed , which you can time to get ready for a shout. Obviously they are only pretending but the gear is real . I purchased lots of jute bottle bags and shopping bags , socks etc . All whom received were surprised & pleased because it’s different & multi use .Staff always friendly . Plus you are supporting Men & Women who voluntarily put their lives at risk to save others.. “Lovely place amazing food which was really tasty and had loads of chicken in it. Just wish I got there a little earlier as they had sold out some of the things so I’d recommend getting there early.”

“Not my usual choice but not fussy either so decided to give it a go last minute. Service was outstanding. In particular (didn’t get his name) but the duty manager, tall guy with glasses. His good morning made us feel welcome immediately, he was attentive and really friendly. Service makes the experience for me, food was cheap and cheerful, nothing to write home about but hit the spot for the price. Will definitely consider going again, because of the service.”

“I don't usually give reviews but figured these guys deserved it tonight. I got chips from here about a month ago, but they weren't great. These guys had just taken over the place and it all seemed a bit chaotic. But today was different. The guys were friendly and the chips were freshly cooked and hot. They were the best chips I've had for a while.”

“We have been here a few times and never had a bad meal. We recently came on Saturday 15th and had a chicken curry and a lamb curry both with 3 sides each. Both meats fell apart and melted in your mouth! All the sides were delicious too, the pineapple salsa is Devine! We came again tonight and had a mid week roast, 1 beef and 1 belly pork, omg the dinners were both amazing and would recommend to anybody! Simon and his mum are a true vibe whilst waiting for the food to be dished up! We will be back soon, thank you!”

“Modest café situated right on Barry Island seafront. I wasn't expecting much in the way of either quality or value. However I was very pleasantly surprised when my lunch arrived, to receive a generous slice of steak and ale pie which was absolutely packed with filling, a decent pile of nicely-cooked chips and peas, all served piping hot on a hot plate, just as it should be! It was also very nice that the gravy came separately in a jug with a lid, to keep the contents hot... brilliant! The staff were clearly working hard during lunch service and yet still managed a smile and to exchange pleasantries. I'll definitely be back, next time I'm in town. Thank you and keep up the great work!”

“Nice beautiful Italian restaurant, Great atmosphere and amazing real Italian pizza made it at Napoli's style. The Pasta is very tasty and very good too!!! To finish with a delicious dessert , my favourite was the warm croissant. All followed by a superb service.”

“My mum and I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and we are so glad we did! The staff were lovely and the decor was great. We shared the pizza parma, a mixed salad, and garlic mushrooms and all was amazing! We will definitely be returning.”

“It is our first time to try this restaurant for take away today. The staff is really really nice and friendly. We ordered three dishes and the price is incredibly reasonable. When we are back to home and taste it, I will say it is very fantastic and very delicious. It is very outstanding in terms of quality and taste, and I can say the taste is very traditional which is already very hard to find similar high quality dishes like these even in Hong Kong and China right now. I would highly recommend it to everyone and look forward to try other dishes again this week.”

“Great little find! We followed the signs on the main road and was hoping for a homely pub. This pub was exactly that! Friendly staff, Great food and exactly what we needed after a long day being tourists around barry island and cardiff! Would highly recommend.”

“Fresh, tasty burger and quick delivery Can't fault Bashed! Food is always amazing. Full of flavour. Would definitely recommend. Tried the others but these guys make by far the best bashed burgers in Barry.”

“I had a wonderful lunch with my 2 sons at the Cwm Talwg today. I hadn’t booked a table but staff thankfully found a table for us. Lots of choice on the menu so was hard to decide !! From entering to leaving the staff were attentive and super friendly. Our orders taken promptly and food served after a short wait, staff checked twice that our meals were ok. We had no complaints !! They were delicious. I don’t think the Cwm Talwg gets the recognition it deserves which is a shame as the food was lovely. We will definitely be back. I’d recommend trying this place”

“Really nice beach side coffee shop. Went in for a drink to take for our travel home. I got a kinder latte and my friend got a chai latte (?) With oat milk. The gent that served us was amazing and even asked if the alternate milk choice was a preference or an intolerance. When told it was an intolerance he told us it would be done in a seperate jug and cleaned twice. Very good with allergens!”

“Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.”

“Typically are truly exceptional however today and yesterday no one in my household is able to contact them through phone so I'm left wondering what's happened. Their food is amazing , the best I ever had, truly. Yesterday takeout, which is extremely rare for us, was planned but it didn't happen. It made a rough depressing day much harder. “New Yangs is a buffet place, where you order and eat as much as you can, as long as you don’t waste food. A lot of options, always nice food, quick and polite service. I love the lemon chicken and the crispy duck. Would be shocked to hear that somebody went there and didn’t enjoy their food. Have been many times and will go many more.”
