“Wow!!! Just had the most amazing 30th birthday cake made last week. So delicious-so many people have commented on how tasty, light and moist the cake was. Nothing was too much trouble and Hollie’s managed to turn it around with just 2 weeks notice!!! Great value too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hollies for cakes-even the tea room looks great-just need to pop in for a bite to eat now.”

“Visited this tea room today for the first time and will definitely go back. Staff are lovely and very friendly, the atmosphere was good, we had toasted tea cakes and a pot of tea for two which was lovely, most of all the place was spotlessly clean, so will definitely be back as the cakes look amazing. “One of the best bubble tea in cov (tried happy lemon, royal cha, T4 and Jidong), IMO tied first with Jidong. A wide range of choices and all the drinks be it milky, fruity or the slushies were made correctly and taste was spot on. My go-to for bubble tea in the city centre. Update: just tried their matcha tiramisu, highly recommend! So happy to actually have found some matcha tiramisu in cov that I can taste matcha in. Because I'm a matchaholic I still added extra but it's visibiliy green and it's fantastic. Delicious”

“Wonderful, independent family run, business i tried. multiple items on the menu with my partner and we have never ever had a problem breakfast is always fresh, made piping hot. Although the bacon is the sweet streaky kind i have also tried the snitzel burger O.M.G and the handmaid cheese burger are absolutely delicious, fresh coffee. Pleasant, welcoming little cafe.”

“Thank you for a lovely evening Loxleys. We sat in a small room on the left hand side of the entrance. It was beautifully decorated. I was greeted with Happy Birthday wishes & received a card. As the night progressed two other couples arrived who were also celebrating birthdays. We had such a fun evening. The food was delicious. I had the carrot salad & truffle fries. My OH had steak which he enjoyed. Service was impeccable. Thank you Loxleys.”

“Lovely little gem of place just on the path of a canal and run by a small attentive team and seems rather popular . Not vast on the inside but does have a covered outdoor section to the side, really feels cosy surrounded by various interesting canal related items which can be purchased . The menu is straightforward consisting of breakfast / lunch type items which is freshly prepared and the quality is really good along with various takeaway bits near the counter. Just loved it and was really wonderful .”

“Cute cafe with nice staff. Had a couple of drinks from here such as a vegan blueberry smoothie, iced tea and a coffee. They didn’t have iced tea on the menu but when I asked they made it anyway which was fab. The breakfast looked nice but unfortunately haven’t had time to try. Service is good”

“I wanted to say thank you to amazing team and for amazing coffee. We had really good coffee when ordered and sat there and I noticed they have different coffee beans also on display for sale. I decided to try- guys grounded it for me there as I like to make turkish coffee on hob in cezve. Quality and taste was mind blowing. I returned and bought more. Very happy customer to return for more soon.”

“We had a really lovely afternoon at the Leif Tea Rooms. We had afternoon tea which was scrumptious. There was a great choice of fillings for the sandwiches which were amazing, plenty of filling! The scones were a delight and the cakes of lemon drizzle, chocolate fudge and victoria sponge were delicious. Very generous portion of everything, couldn't eat it all. But the wonderful staff supplied boxes to take away. We had prosseco which made it more special and were seated by the christmas tree on comfy sofas and chairs. It made our family catch up a special occasion and we would like to say thank you to all the staff who were so nice. Will definitely return, we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! Definitely recommended.”

“First time visiting tamarind after seeing a review in the paper about the restaurant winning an award. Took the missus last night and both of us agreed that this was the best lamb bhuna we've ever had. Food was amazing. Staff were amazing and the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. It was well worth the 20 min drive from coventry. Tamarind will 100% be our go to from now on.”

“Gluten free!!! Very nice and clean place. This restaurant has its own cool atmosphere. I made order online to collect and eat at home, because I was in rush. I arrived too early, however staff allowed me to seat comfortable and wait for my order. I wish to give 5 stars, but unfortunately I get my Passion Fruit Semifreddo without Passion Fruit topping :( (due to bigger order I didn't check at restaurant, realised at home)”

Food consistently good and staff friendly and helpful.drinks reasonably priced, and hot drinks options too for designated drivers!
