“Jem’s Pit Stop, and Batley, West Yorkshire is an American themed diner. We were driving to Birstall and thought to stop for a a bite in the afternoon and when we were read the tweets but reviews we didn't believe there is place like this in Batley so decided to try it and we weren't disappointed but glad to see it. Look at the photos that will explain it. It took us a long time to explore the place and see the motorbikes and hidden treasures of the place. Then we headed to our table to eat and that was good a very good menu plenty varieties for different diets and people of all ages. The staff, service and quality of food all great.”

“Went in on Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 7pm. Ordered 2 fish, 1 chips, peas and a scallop. The fish was fresh as it got fried when we went in. Chips were delicious and the scallops were also quality. One of the best fish shops around.”

One thing I loved about home was the Mexican cuisine, the birria tacos I had here was 10/10 sent me right back home to the corner taco shop I use to eat at. They should consider making horchata or some type of Agua Fresca that would have been lovely with my meal and it’s super authentic this place is 100% HALAL”

“A lovely place to go for brunch or simply have a quality cup of coffee. I stopped by with my brother for a late breakfast which was a scrumptious change to the norm. We share a dessert to finish, shame it came in a takeout box when we were both still sitting in, but the coffee made up for it! A lovely mellow blend from local sources. Very warm and helpful staff made for a lovely breakfast outing! Deffo recommend and I shall be coming again.”

I recently visited the Oak Furniture Land store at Junction 27 in Leeds with my uncle, and the experience was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Dexter, who looked after us in store, went above and beyond. He offered thoughtful recommendations, rearranged furniture on the shop floor so my uncle didn’t have to walk to the back of the store, and even made him a cup of tea while they sat and chatted. His kindness and patience made the visit incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We placed an order during our visit, and the delivery was just as impressive. It arrived exactly on the date promised, and the delivery team—Dean and Matt—were fantastic. They called ten minutes before arriving and were polite, cheerful, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Overall, the service from both the store and the delivery team has been outstanding. Truly a five-star experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oak Furniture Land to anyone looking for quality furniture and exceptional customer care.”

“We called in for brunch as we were visiting Ikea, just round the corner, and wanted to eat somewhere independent, with good, positive reviews. We certainly didn’t regret eating at Oscars 21. Parking was easy, off the road but just outside the door. There’s 2 hours free parking there, but you can book in at the reception and increase it to 4 hours free. We had a lovely welcome from the lady working there. We both had hot drinks which were really nice. My wife had the porridge with strawberries, banana, goji berries, blueberries and pumpkin seeds. She told me it was delicious, and having tasted a spoonful for research purposes, I can concur that it was really nice. I had the Chicken, Pesto and Pasta Salad, which I have to say was absolutely delicious. Really first class. Lots too. Given the quality, the prices were really very reasonable. We now know exactly where we’ll be eating next time we’re in the area. I’m sorry the photo doesn’t show the full plate full. I couldn’t stop eating it just for your sake(!), and what’s in that photo didn’t last very long before it was gone!”
