“cute quaint independent pub with good vibes and good drink options. would love to pop back to try the pies”
“Had a delightful meal here recently, staff couldn't have been more welcoming or accomodating. We forgot to specify that we were booking for a meal so there wasn't supposed to be food on that night but one of the staff swapped into her chef whites & cooked us up a delicious feast. Would absolutely recommend, baked camembert (both flavours) & the mussels were spot on!”
“Being part of this is a great experience not to be missed. One of the few remaining traditional pubs in the British Isles, conversation, friendship and a perfect gentleman as your host.”
“I’ve been to this steakhouse a few times now, and it never disappoints. I usually go for there early bird special, where they offer 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz steaks at very reasonable prices for such high-quality cuts. The steaks are always cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re in for a quick meal or a leisurely dinner, it’s a great spot for steak lovers. Highly recommend, especially for the early bird with the unbeatable value!”
“Great boozer, nice range of kirkstall brewery beverages. Staff are pleasant. Easily best spot in Morley bottoms now as everywhere else seems to charge through the nose for sub par drinks.”
“Came for bunch with my boyfriend and we both had the berry French toast with a side of bacon, because who doesn’t want sweet and savoury? Food was lush, both got a latte too which was also yummy! Our server was Mia who was super attentive and generally lovely. Thanks Mia! Would highly recommend ”
“I had the most amazing time this evening, the wine was fabulous, the atmosphere was immaculate and all the workers were the best!! Definitely will be coming back! xx”
“I highly recommend this place for burgers and fries! The Frenchie beef burger is absolutely delicious- sweet, juicy and full of flavors.. The fries are crispy with tasty cheese!”

“The most excellent place to escape from Bronte in Haworth. Great local atmosphere, friendly staff (and patrons), good choice of drinks and food available. We loved it from start to finish.”
“Love this place, amazing staff. Always as great bands on and now does food”
“The only remaining pub in Luddenden, the Lord Nelson ("the Nelly" to locals) is one of the best and friendliest pubs I've ever been to. The regulars can be a little noisy from time to time and the "banter" a little brisk but, as a gay couple, we were welcomed into the village in the kindest and warmest way by everyone. We love it here and consider ourselves regulars now. Mondays and Fridays are usually the busiest nights, with good beer and a wide range of other drinks. Visitors to Luddenden should note that the pub no longer does food, apart from the usual range of bar snacks. I can heartily recommend the Nelly - the bar staff and locals are just wonderful!”
“Loved this local Pizzeria, with a construction themed menu! The staff were great as was the pizza. Had a lovely local beer to accompany too. Drop by if you're around Todmorden.”
“Fantastic community pub. Great choice of drinks. Brilliant beer garden on the roof. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere”
“Nice bar with amazing atmosphere, there's been some great events with some legendary Djs and Mcs. Doesn't feel like you're in Nelson, it's actually better then any bar in Burnley. They always have good offers on. Overall nice friendly place with decent staff.”
“Loved the steak pie, a real delight and properly made and very well portioned. The atmosphere, beer, food and prices are fantastic. Very good indeed.”
“Very friendly American themed bar over three cozy floors. Three hand pulled real ales. Ideal for prematch Farsley Celtic pints.”
“Most definitely my new "local" - fantastic little place, a really friendly welcome and an awesome selection of beers. You could literally punch me in the face on arrival and still get a 5* review for having Inedit and Slippery Customer on draft, thanks for just having the beer and not the brutal welcome though. All the best with the new venture!”
“The food was fantastic. Service was impeccable, friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Prices were more than fair for the quality delivered. This is a restaurant that takes pride in its craft, going above and beyond to exceed expectations. A true standout, wholeheartedly recommended!”
“My wife and I had lunch and what a lovely meal it was. As it is a French restaurant I had Fish soup and it didn't disappoint. I have not had Fish soup for a long time and it brought all the memories back from going to France on holiday. I had Calves liver for my main course and it was beautiful. The price was good and reasonable. Would I recommend and return, I definitely would. If you like my honest reviews please follow me as I review on a regular basis.”
“Loved the discrete, speakeasy style entrance (via a barber's) to the bar. Great cocktails, fab music by the resident house band which culminated in a party atmosphere. Good fun!”
“My old mate Phil from Bass House in Ponty runs The Houghton now I was very pleased to find out recently. Couldn't be in safer hands, great atmosphere, nice locals and a genuinely pleasant local pub, great beer too, loads of sports, great prices. You won't be disappointed so go check it out. Graham.”
