Stavros was incredibly polite and friendly on the phone, and that same warm attitude continued when we arrived — he greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table with genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the cooking. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience was truly fantastic. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be returning!”

“the boba here is fantastic. tastes great, made quickly and cheaper than a lot of other places. iirc it was around £4.50-£5 for a large which is a lot cheaper than other places i’ve been to that’s offered a smaller portion. the shop itself is spotless and offers a wide selection of different food and snacks.”

“Visited near Christmas in an afternoon for lunch. The food was really nice - and a little bit more unusual for what you'd normally expect from a 'tourist attraction' type place! The staff were friendly and helpful with assisting with a gluten intolerance that one of our party has. Would definitely recommend for if you are visiting Chester Zoo!”

“Classic Chester city centre pub with low beams and darker interior although the music livened the place up nicely. Enjoyed my visit and a decent selection of real ales and candles lit on all the tables adding to a nice relaxing vibe. Looks historical on the outside and even more so after you enter.”

“Just moved back to Chester and went to try bubble tea bar Chester’s Shisha. Having Shisha on my trips to Dubai I can say this is one of the best Shishas I have had in the uk. The frozen pipe added to the cool taste of the flavour. A must visit for Shisha in Chester. Loved the blankets provided too will be back again soon”

“We are repeat visitors, the food and service is always excellent. However, we did have issues with the bill (incorrect) on a couple of occasions. I raised this on their feedback web form. I received a call from the manager Cosmos on the same day. He was very receptive to my constructive criticism and promised to address the issues. I was very impressed. Thank you for this. “Great food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. It’s a very convenient place for romantic dates as well. They have been so kind that they offered us drinks on my birthday. We enjoy their duck every time. They also have a very tasty onion soup. This place has much wider space than it looks from outside. Proper for big group meetings including company dinners.”

“Located on Love st Chester this is a great place to try out locally brewed ales and grab a great quality meal. There are some steps to the front of the building which lead on to a very large open room with plenty of seating with smaller rooms off ,they offer master classes in all types of drinks , friendly staff and very clean”

“We visited this lovely country pub and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The waitress (Beth) looking after us was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her, which really made the visit feel special. We tried the fried Brie to start, which was delicious and full of flavour. Others tried the Patè which only had a small improvement we’d suggest which is serving it with a little more bread, but it certainly didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. Despite our group ordering six roast dinners, all with different meats, the food arrived in good time. The portions were generous, everything was piping hot, and the flavours were spot on. The standout dish for us was the cauliflower cheese—honestly the best we’ve ever had! Desserts were lovely too. The cheesecake tasted great, though the base was slightly harder than we prefer. The brownies, however, were a huge hit and disappeared quickly! The pub itself was very clean and welcoming, and the easy, convenient parking made the visit even smoother. Overall, a fantastic meal with great service. We’ll definitely be returning!”

“We both had the steak and honestly WOW. absolutely beautiful. our server Molly was so lovely and friendly and very attentive and service was super quick. The steak is honestly on par with miller and carter for a fraction of the price. absolutely phenomenal. wine was amazingly priced considering the quality. definitely recommend this place, lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and great quick service.”

“A nice place for a family treat. Good selection of sweet as well as savoury pancakes. Staff are attentive and helpful. The woman who served us was happy and chirpy. The cafe is clean and bright. You can see the pancakes being made, right behind the counter, so you can have confidence in the cooking. I sampled a savoury pancake with cream cheese and smoked salmon, which came with a generous side of rocket. My son had a sweet pancake with Nutella, whipped cream, banana and chocolate sauce. We both enjoyed our food and couldn’t fault it.”

“A nice Costa location with very friendly staff and well made drinks. Costa has been very greedy with the price increases though and I can't say I recommend them if you want the best coffee. Local coffee shops will likely be the same price but with much higher quality drinks as they use quality ingredients and don't cheap out on ingredients (thanks coca-cola). Please support local businesses who need your custom! The megacorps do not care unless they make profit. Your custom will go a long way for local businesses.”

“24 hours on the specimen lake, great facilities. Staff were great, couldn't be any more helpful and polite. One of the cleanest fisheries I have ever been on not a single rat in site!! Will definitely be returning”

“I don't normally go to Starbucks. I find the coffee too bitter. However, I went there today after a long walk. The staff were lovely and so welcoming. They wore the nicer message in the cup. To too this, the latte was so nice! Well done to the staff!”

“We booked a room for 3 adults, then were upgraded to a suite with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and sitting area. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were superb. Much, much more than expected from a service station hotel. Very near to Cheshire Oaks outlet village. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Popped into Costa Coffee in Chester and really enjoyed our visit. I had a flat white and a cheese toastie, and Pauline had an Earl Grey tea and a slice of ginger loaf – everything was tasty and well-prepared. Friendly service and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.”

“Lovely staff at Leon Chester services, food is prepared quickly and efficiently. Seating are is constantly cleaned and bins emptied. Always love their good and hot chocolate. Frequent stops taken there for food and rest.”

“We stayed at the city hotel for 2 nights for my partners birthday weekend away, before we even arrived Sophie was texting us to see if we needed anything and let us know our room was ready, and wow what a room! We stayed in room 6 which has a free standing bath and all the little Luxuries you could need, from coffee pods, tea, fresh milk to shower gels, shampoo and bath salts. The room is well presented and nicely laid out with a very comfy bed and soft furnishings giving that homely luxury feel. Sophie was always on hand only a text away and willing to answer any questions or queries we had, as well as providing our welcome drinks on arrival and making sure our room had extra towels and toiletries on day 2 of our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend the city hotel Chester for a weekend get away and cannot thank Sophie enough for all the effort she puts into looking after her guests.”

Holly at reception was incredibly kind and understanding — she helped us change the dates of our stay due to illness, which we really appreciated. Everyone we met was super friendly and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food deals were fantastic, especially with the app discounts — excellent value for money and great quality. Breakfast was brilliant too — plenty of choice, fresh, and tasty with something for everyone. Overall, a really lovely experience with great service and great people. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Great craft beer bar. Friendly staff and atmosphere with reasonable prices for the products available. Children are allowed on till 7pm which is handy. Would recommend for anybody who likes their beer or just likes a local atmosphere from an independent local business.”

Our daughter recommended this fantastic place to us,my parents visited before they went to Thailand and they enjoyed it. Now we have tried it.I was hooked after just 2 mouthfuls of my chicken panang.
