“Went to Liverpool Street social bank holiday Sunday and had a delicious meal. I opted for the fish cake starter, pork loin roast and honey cake to finish and I couldn’t fault anything. Ellen could not do enough for me the girl really is a star ⭐.”

“The pizza here was phenomenal, excellent quality which is nice as you feel like you’re still getting a premium type experience despite the fabulously casual vibe of the restaurant:) the prices of the pizzas were reasonable, around £12-14 from what I remember and were definitely worth it. My partner and I also tried the Iced Bailey’s Latte (a cocktail) which was stunning and something a bit different! Would really recommend coming here, it can get quite busy on a weekend so would also recommend booking just to be on the safe side! Overall an amazing experience:)”

“The best place for babies and toddlers! The baby sensory classes are amazing, so many little themed toys and sensory bits, with a soft play room with toys for older babies and toddlers. Natalie treats you like a friend from the first day you go and helps to create special memories and keepsakes ”

“I went in on a whim, only fuelled by the vague but sudden urge that I wanted to have a needle and ink stabbed into me (a tattoo) that day, and had no idea what I wanted to get or where. I spotted the “get what you get” gumball machine through the window, which has a fixed price of £60 and you get a random flash piece. Stefan, who ran the gumball machine was obviously the one to tattoo me, and I’m so glad I went in that day. Everyone there was very friendly, but Stef especially did a great job making me feel comfortable and confident enough to let him do pretty much what he wanted on my leg. It was the least painful of my tattoos so far and it came out super cool! He was very gentle and he’s made a customer for life! Thanks Stef and everyone else at Crown Of Thorns!”

“I celebrated my 40th here and my friends couldn’t have chosen a better place. We had upstairs to ourselves, so we could catch up to our hearts content. The service was fantastic. The ladies couldn’t have done more for us and they even gave me a birthday card which was such a lovely touch. The food was so flavoursome; we had loads of different foods but I can suggest the mezze and the halloumi. I can’t wait to come back when I’m back in Liverpool.”

“Another update with pictures of chicken wing appetizer and the chicken and beef Sunday dinner - as ever great food. An amazing selection of beers at a very reasonable price. Service is exemplary and nothing ever seems any trouble. Even a taster of a new beer is given with even asking about it, like they read your mind when not sure. Atmosphere is perfect for a snug brew house. And of course the food is great as well anything for a quick bite to Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit or two.”

“I simply cant tell you how much I like this place. It makes me laugh feel good vibes and at the same time freak me out a little. I slightly feel I am coming into the starwars bar with Obi wan. 'You will love this bar,' I actually do. The constant karaoke and smiling faces makes it a must vista place. Reasonable prices. Oh yes if you are PC, a bit soft, or frighten easily maybe not for you. If you are real, honest out to have fun come here”

“Very friendly pub with nice music, with mainly retired regulars. One unique point about the place is that its bar is about a foot shorter at the top end than the bottom end because of the steep slope of the floor inside. But the good news is the bar is perfectly level. They always seem to have great 70's music playing in the background which is the best era for most of the customers. They usually have a great range of real ales and beers. Something to suit everyone and service with a smile.”

“Ordered Donner Kebab for the missus she loves them said bread is dead fresh doesn't break, salad is fresh and also asked not to cook donner meat on grill and was spot on with that. I had boneless chicken wings with smokey barbecue sauce absolutely lovely. Delivery was in about 10-15 mins and food was still hot. Can't complain at all. Have visited the shop for takeaway a few times and staff are down to earth and polite. Best scran gaff in bootle by far.”

“My daughter and I had an afternoon tea here today. It was delicious. The atmosphere was brilliant it was very busy but the service was outstanding the best ive ever had anywhere. The christmas decorations were fantastic. It all added to a real christmasy afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.”
