“Great club and atmosphere. I’ve been to many clubs where I felt uncomfortable. By that I mean not really welcoming, unfriendly people, too much egos etc. Also when I’ve tried other clubs, the teaching was all over the place and don’t really follow any real structure or program. I found the classes at the Khalid Ismail Academy to be very structured and well taught. Very friendly members who are very willing to help and encourage you. For me it’s the best club I’ve trained at. I would highly recommend the club for all ages. Khalid has years of experience in MMA which you can see with the teaching and his portfolio of people he has trained and coached.”

“A huge thank you to AMA for the fantastic job they did organising the recent trip to Thorpe Park. From start to finish, everything was spot on. The logistics were incredibly smooth, transport was punctual, communication was clear throughout the trip including leaving and arriving times. Every aspect of the day seemed carefully planned. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into ensuring the children had a memorable experience while also staying safe and well looked after. On seeing the amount of coaches arriving, this was a big scale trip, which couldn't have been easy to organise. My daughter had an absolutely brilliant time. She managed to sit on around 15 rides! She came home full of excitement, chatting about the rides, the friends she spent time with, and how well the group was managed. It’s not easy coordinating a trip of that scale, but AMA did it with professionalism, care, and heart. Jazakallahu Khayra to the AMA team who organised the trip. We’re truly grateful for the experience my daughter had.”

But onset of joining HIKA I had felt as thought I had joined a community and family of all ages with a zero ego. Alongside the self defence aspect the learning of skills such as leadership, confidence and discipline are all aspect you can take away from karate to other sectors helping you excel further. This has worked for me personally hence my recommendation. Rather than a martial arts centre it is home. To be around like minded people is a blessing every day and a get away from the stresses in life. This is all thanks to the senseis and their teaching and capabilities to welcome us like their family and give us guidance.”
