“it’s a better option that the surrounding noodle restaurants. The chicken is tender and not dry and stiff, which is a very good sign.”
“Latest: Took the dog here, they really are dog friendly! It is a shame the bar lady lacked manners and the ability to treat people like customers, she really let the place down. There was no fight or argument, this must be her normal demeanour. It puts me off going again. Original: Friendly, old fashioned pub. Bar staff are very good”
“Fantastic place to stay for getting into London. It may be at the end of the tube line. But it does get you great service, comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast and best if all, free parking!”
“Good selection of wine. The gentleman who served us was friendly and cheerful.”
“Had a takeaway from from here last week and was great! Great food and speedy service from the staff. Would 100% recommend if you want a good pizza in Ickenham!”
“Was in Uxbridge for an evening and after looking through various places, I came across this gem of a restaurant. Read through some of the reviews and decided to give it a try and wow the QUALITY of the food is top notch. Ordered spring rolls which had a heavenly taste to them, chicken tawouk with rice which was cooked to perfection with the chicken so soft and succulent and had a side of cheesy fries which were the best cheesy chips I've ever had. On top of all that, the two waitresses serving us were very warm and welcoming. 5 stars all round.”
“There is such a huge variety of options here and every dish I've tried so far has been fantastic. I love that it's both a cafe and a restaurant, and how much the vibe changes between day and night. The staff are warm and friendly, and the seating in the extension has a lovely atmosphere in the evenings. The chicken and waffles is scrumptious.”

“We needed somewhere to celebrate a life. We were lucky enough to choose Lisa's bar at the Stockley Park Golf Clubhouse. They provided a really good buffet for around 100 guests. We were able to display some memories on a TV screen. The service and everything about the day made a very sad occasion as pleasant as possible. Staff were all great. Happily recommend for any occasion. Thank all involved.”
“Wonderful owner, very warm welcome whenever you visit. Happy to help with anything if you may need. I'm a very happy returning customer.”
“Where do I start... 10/10. The staff and service was incredible. The owner really made our night for mother's day. The food was incredible, absolutely delicious and huge portions. Great pricing. Lovely restaurant aswell, very spacious and clean. Order the fried dough balls and watch your head when you go toilet.”
“Lucy was our waitress. She made us feel very welcome. She was lovely and smiley which I feel is very rare these days. Absolutely fantastic service. Thank you Lucy! :) Food was lovely!”
“We have been dining at Sahara Prince of Wales since it opened and it has always been exceptional. The food is consistently delicious, with the fish a firm favourite. Generous portions, reasonable prices and excellent quality keep us coming back. The warm atmosphere and attentive staff make every visit special. Whether for a casual meal or a celebration, Sahara Prince of Wales never disappoints. Highly recommended for its fantastic food, great service and welcoming vibe.”
“We just came for a quick drink. This is a lovely village gastro pub with warm and welcoming feel in beautiful Denham village. Waitress was smiling, brought a drink quickly and even helped us to charge our phone. We will go back for a dinner next time. Thank you for excellent service!”
“Such a great pub/restaurant. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, the lunch time bites and small menu are great. I love the Welsh Rarebit and the bubble & squeak. So much to choose from. In a great location with walks around. Parking is free on the street.”
“Always good service, polite and friendly people. Always has something you may need.”
“We enjoyed our first meal here. - we had prawn Murta, prawn biriyani, popadoms, rice and aloo gobi and a couple of soft drinks. Bill for both of us was £50 which we felt was very fair. We gave a tip as it wasn’t included in the bill. Service was excellent. Definitely will go again.”
“Just popped in to watch a match, really good service, had fish and chips very nice. Staff friendly and very clean pub definitely call back sometime.”
“The Malt Shovel The Malt Shovel is a real gem right on the canal, where you can sit back and watch the boats drift by. It has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. The food is consistently lovely, and the outdoor seating really comes into its own on sunny days, making it a great spot for summer afternoons and evenings. It’s a place that’s clearly well-loved by the boating community, giving it a unique charm and character. Whether you’re passing through or stopping especially, it feels like somewhere you can properly unwind. If you happen to be floating past on a Sunday, do yourself a favour and moor up—their roast is absolutely amazing and well worth making time for.”
“We come to The Dolphin once a week and always have a great time! It’s a warm, welcoming pub with a fantastic atmosphere. Kerrie always serves with a smile and makes everyone feel right at home. Great music, great service – what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!”
“It was the first time we had Sunday lunch at the General Eliott. It had a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. We all had the roast lamb and the meat was very tasty and had a great selection of vegetables. We will definitely be back for Sunday lunch.”
“Stopped into the Harrow location on our way back to the Midlands and had a really pleasant experience. We didn’t have a reservation but the lady receiving guests showed us to a table for two straight away. There were plenty of patrons but the atmosphere was pleasant and not too noisy or overwhelming. We had the butchers block and a selection of drinks that had plenty of fresh fruit and ice served with them as advertised. Our server, Nicole, was very friendly and welcoming and was attentive to our needs, as well as those of a large party seated next to us. She had a warm and approachable demeanour that helped two out of towners feel at ease :)”
“Lovely place. This is is the perfect family restaurant, great vibe and wonderful food.”
“Great atmosphere and service! Food quality is very good! The lychee martini is probably the best in London!”
“I really like this restaurant on the high street. The service is great and the decor and atmosphere is nice too. Never rushed to leave after finishing dinner, rather get left until we ask for the bill. It’s great for kids too as they have a nice mix of dishes which are big enough for my 13 and 10 year old girls. Food is nice a flavoursome. The staff here are all really nice and will give us good advice on the types of dishes we might like. I am a bit adventurous with my food and my family rather like the same. I always try different things and so far everything has been amazing and causes me to keep coming back. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting some tasty food. It’s restaurants like this that we need to remain on our high streets. Keep up the great work and we look forward to coming back soon.”
“Veritable Aladdin's cave of alcoholic beverages. Lots of unusual bottles from the local Weird Beard brewery in addition to plenty of other beery finds. Even found a bottle of Latvian Black Balsam amongst the spirits section too!”
“I recently stopped by The Viaduct in Hanwell for a pint, and it was a great experience. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. I tried one of their local ales, and it was perfectly chilled and full of flavor – just what I needed to unwind. The ambiance is cozy, with a nice mix of traditional decor and modern touches. Whether you’re sitting inside or enjoying the beer garden, it’s a comfortable spot to relax. Overall, having a pint at The Viaduct was a delightful experience, and I look forward to my next visit!”
