Good choice of many options on the menu, including full English breakfast (served until 3pm) burgers, steaks, sandwiches, soup, etc. Chose Ham eggs and chips, with a side of mushrooms. Good food, freshly cooked and served quickly. Staff friendly and very polite. Highly recommended.”

“The food was great - every dish we ordered was delicious and devoured by our large group. I would recommend booking in advance for bigger groups, to ensure availability. We were seated in the function room, which provided a more quiet atmosphere. The menu was impressive with a variety of options. The service was top-notch, and the prices were very reasonable. Thai Spicy is a hidden gem in the area, and i can't wait to return!”

“Had the festive menu and the food took a little longer than expected but Charlee was fab at updating us and ensuring we were comfortable and if we needed anything else. We were sat in the conservatory which was cold and the food took longer than necessary but the food was adequate. Made better only by the millionaires fodue dessert.”

“Visited the Master Fryer today with my wife and 2 kids. The food was exceptional, the highest quality of cod and the chips were cooked to perfection, literally crispy and golden. The experience was made even better with the quality service you get given here. The business is owned by such an amazing family that was so kind to us. “Amazing food for amazing prices with amazing staff. The ambience of the restaurant is really calming and comfortable, everyone is friendly and making sure you feel welcome. The portions are really generous and you really get your money's worth if not even more. For starters we had the Papaya Salad (awesome, but quite hot), as well as the Chicken Salad (perfect). For the mains we chose the Pad Makahm duck (this was the best duck both of us ever had!!) and the Chi Mussaman Curry (very delicious). The 20min car journey to get there was definitely worth it and I will go again!”

“The best burrito place in the south east in my opinion. Not a bad word can be said apart from the option to have 2 sauces with your meal as 1 isn't enough, well isn't enough for me anyway. “My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. I would like to thank the Albany on behalf of my father & we will be regular visitors from now on (I can’t wait to taste more of the chef’s delicious food 10/10 xx”

“This pub is fantastic. Music Friday Saturday Sunday. All staff and landlady friendly. Due to recent reviews there are a few horrible reviews from a sour ex partner that is an alcoholic and was caught drink drinking 5 times over the limit. Please ignore them as these are being handled in the appropriate manner. Please come see for yourself, before putting this pub at the bottom of your list. Landlady is professional, helpful and very friendly”
