“​We were fortunate to secure a reservation for two at The Ned's Electric Bar & Diner for the highly popular Interstellar, Michelin, BBQ pop-up. During the booking process, we were thoughtfully asked if we were celebrating anything. Coming from Texas, we were craving a taste of home. We went for the brisket, the official Texas BBQ meat, and the fare absolutely fulfilled that desire. Just to mention, it was £40 extra for the brisket. The food was sensational, with deeply smoky and tender meats and savory sides that brought us right back to our favorite barbecue joints. ​However, despite mentioning our anniversary during the reservation, none of the four servers acknowledged the occasion. It was a bit disappointing when they simply brought the check without any mention of our celebration. It was a bit of a letdown after such a fantastic meal.”

“The lunch and dinner deals are excellent value. You get to pretty much choose any starter and mains on the a la carte menu. I had a xiao long bao and a bowl of noodle for the main, all for under £15. The service was quick and efficient, great for a quick lunch bite.”

“Billy is the nicest guy you will meet. Service is all down to the staff and he is so chatty and makes the experience amazing. The food was great, we had cold and hot mezze with two spritzes. The ambience feels really authentic and the taste is nothing short of delicious. Definitely recommend!”

Food was excellent overall but my T bone steak was cold and underdone a bit, but nothing peppercorn sauce and the most amazing French fries ever couldn’t fix.”

“We were left in a predicament on my birthday after a disappointing experience at a nearby steakhouse left us walking out. The bouncer at The Devonshire recommended Sophie’s. Initially told they were full, a manager soon stepped in, found us a table despite the busy night, and offered complimentary drinks. It completely turned the evening around and saved my birthday. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. The steak was good: well-cooked and enjoyable. When other places let us down, Sophie’s delivered genuine hospitality.”

“I visited here for my birthday treat from my son. Had so much fun. There was a lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches and all freshly made. I even got a small cake for my birthday. 10/10 for their amazing staff who were always ready and willing to help you with whatever you needed. The place its self was beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming.”

“My dad took me here and at first I was sceptical, as I’m very much a beginner in spice and not always in the mood for a late dinner night out. But once I was there I didn’t want to go! The staff and very helpful, nice and definitely know their Indian food! And the spice? Don’t worry, from beginners to spice pros it’s perfect! There’s a lot of effort put into this great restaurant! Definitely, undoubtedly recommend!”

“Like the Black Horse, this is a pub that's more of a food place than a pub, but there's a proper bar area if you're just in there for drinks. Food is good and they often have deals on. They often have entertainment on, although this is usually just a solo singer with backing tracks. The pub quiz is once a month on the first Monday of the month (although is moving to twice a month in 2026); it's a good quiz with 8 rounds of questions on a variation of subjects. Overall a decent place for the locals of Pilgrims Hatch!”

“A brilliant relaunch, with Highbury Barn now under the ownership of the pub group behind the likes of Commercial Tavern and The Lord Wargrave. The new decor is lovely. We live in Highbury but typically go to Canonbury for good pub food. No longer. There is a brilliant new menu with very well executed food. The starters of tomato, mint and ricotta toast, mushroom croquettes and the prawns hit the spot. The meat lovers praised the steak and its tasty peppercorn sauce.”

Decor was awesome and fit in perfect with pleasant ambience 2. Food was very tasty, warm and look and feel was like mesmerising 3. Staff service was great, all with a smile and very accomodative Though we could see the restaurant was very busy due to weekend, there were no flaws to the event, everything was looked at and managed well. This only happens with perfect Management. I thank all the team in Fusion Tadka. Words are less to express this but you have made our Big day a memorable one. “Anyone that downstars this place doesn't know the difference between buffet food and restaurant food. This is best buffet style food I've had in years. And actually, their ribs are better than most restaurants/takeaways in the area. And they're a little cheaper, which is a plus. To summaries: expect buffet style food and you'll be massively impressed with this place. Excellent.”
