“Amazing food! I ordered a mixed grill and chicken tikka with pilau rice. I asked what was in the mixed grill and was told they have sheesh. I informed the person on the phone I wasn’t a fan of sheesh so they offered and gave me extra chicken instead of the sheesh. How kind I really appreciate it. The best mixed grill I’ve had. Absolutely amazing and I’ll definitely be ordering from them again! They also delivered very quickly and food was a 10/10. Thank you and we’ll be back.”

“I went in with a yellow home bleaching, I was given a good trim and a colour consultation. I went back after the patch test a few days later and had foils/toner; my main concern had been roots needing to be re-bleached/hair damage. The hairdresser spent over three hours recolouring my hair and it is amazing, the best colour treatment I've ever had anywhere. Everyone has told me how good it looks and asked where I went! I have finally found the hairdresser for me and my hair and I won't go anywhere else. Absolutely first class. Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere.”

“I first went here in 1977. And it became my go to place. Keema peas Vindaloo hot, Tarka daal, 2 chapattis and one rice. All I had to do was call and they wouldn't even wait for the order and just say 15 minutes and throw in half a pint of lager if I had to wait!! Of course I introduced a lot of people to eat here. Some still do. I live in California now....but this is still my must visit restaurant if I am in Bedford. Good food and good memories.”

“Amazing food. One of my favourites. Stuff nandos, this is proper authentic Portuguese peri peri chicken. I usually have peri peri, but if you can't stand the spice I recommend medium, so tasty and doesn't blow your tonsils off You must try”

“I’ve only ever been to Alana for my hair since moving to Bedford and have been to Damiano twice for restyles since I followed her there! Everyone’s friendly, complimentary drinks are always offered and I like the music and bustle. I’ve had a few bad cuts in the past which had put me on edge about new hairdressers but Alana makes me feel super comfortable, we always have a lovely catch up, her attention to detail is amazing and she truly cares about the end result. Trusted her to take me from waist length to bob! I always feel pampered with Alana and will keep returning to her.”

“Really interesting place to visit, once the headquarters of the Panacea Society and home of 'Octavia,' the daughter of God (according to the followers,!) The Society was a Southcottian sect that really established itself in the years following the Great War and when the last member died in the first decade of the 21st century the Society ended and a charitable trust took over the properties and opened them as a museum. It's a fascinating window into a movement that was very significant in the 1920's and 30's but has largely been forgotten now. The museum is a real time capsule and it's free to visit. Peaceful gardens, preserved interiors, an incredible story and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. If you're in Bedford it's a must!”

“I recently visited the Sharnbrook School Community Center for cricket net practice, and I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities available! This center is a fantastic hub for anyone passionate about leisure and sports. The variety of activities offered is truly remarkable, including netball, badminton, a well-equipped gym, basketball, squash, and, of course, cricket. The cricket nets were in excellent condition, providing an ideal environment for practice. I found the space to be clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a great training session. What really stood out to me was the friendly and supportive atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and eager to help especially Debby she was really nice and helpful, making the overall experience even better. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to have some fun and stay active, Sharnbrook School Community Center has something for everyone. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a great spot to engage in sports and leisure activities. I can’t wait to return for more practice and to explore the other facilities they offer.”

“Welcoming pub in quiet neighbourhood with beer garden. Nice beers, friendly service and locals. I don't know if food is served but I was able to sit outside with my fish and chips.”

“Booked our annual Christmas group night out of 15 friends after a previous outing a couple of years ago which was excellent, and found this years outing was even better .We all ordered food from the Christmas menu the food was fantastic especially the Pork belly main course and Toffe Apple Choux dessert. The waiters were very attentive ,friendly and efficient. A great night out and very reasonable prices , will definitely return again .”

“Our school has changed to this new supplier recently and to be honest I think this was the best decision ever. I order my children uniform and the website said 7-10 days but I got it in 2 days. The gentleman who delivered the clothes too was so nice and polite and the packaging very simple and neat. This really made me happy as i needed new tops for my children upcoming school photo”

“Got a takeout while staying at centre parcs; we phoned at 5.30pm for a takeout collection at 6pm for 16 people… they were super friendly and managed our order brilliantly. Food was great too and they threw in a good discount and some freebies like chillies, wine and beer.”

“Had a one night stay here over a weekend in July and have to say it was a really good experience all round. Free car parking made it easy and the staff were friendly and professional. Room was smart and well equipped and clean as was the bathroom. The 24 hr coffee machine in the lounge area was very welcome. Big shout out to Molly for sorting a problem out for us. Great place to stay, will certainly use them again.”

“Me and my 4 children stayed at The Stable Yard end of July for 3 nights, and it was very comfortable the children were a bit cautious at first because they had never stayed in a rural location before like this and one of my children carry an EpiPen so she has sever allergies to dust, hay fever, no allergic reaction at all so all good, they were very pleased to see the horses so close up, in the morning’s , we could literally open the door and there were stables across the path, we could not even hear the horses they were so quiet. The host Clarla greeted us and we were left to it. The children were so pleased with our stay that they cannot wait to come back!! I Just wish we had more time to explore the surroundings as there were walks that we could have gone on to take in all that natural countryside views and woodlands. The water was Hot on demand, even with all children showering every day twice, heating took us a bit of getting used to but we worked it out, didn’t really need it, after our first night as the weather improved. A very pleasant stay, the amenities were excellent everything we needed was provided. Our stay was in The Aintree & The Epsom, dishwashers and a washing machine provided, kitchen with cutlery, oven in each, bathrooms were clean too with everything provided towels, loo rolls, ironing boards, iron, kettle, toaster in each apartment.
