We were a table of four and everything was spot on — the food was delicious, especially the steaks, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. “Another lovely visit to The Cinnamon Stick on Friday 22nd Aug. A last minute decision to go out so why not our favourite restaurant. Upon arrival we were led in their 'Arabian lounge', decked out to resemble being in a tent in the Leabanon desert. We've not been in that room before and it's delightfully atmospheric. We know the menu well and we like to order a mix of the mezze and starters and ask for the main course (we had Shis Taouk, beautifully cooked and taken off the skewers) to come with the starters. And you then just sit, take your time and enjoy all the amazing flavours. We had a bottle of Lebanese wine to go with the meal, delicious, and the puddings as alway, scrumptious. I always ask for a pot of their Lebanese coffee, it's not on the menu but they always make it, a perfect way to end the meal.”

“Three of us had lunch here today after a 10 mile walk. Absolutely excellent food, good beer and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Two courses for £17.50. One of us said that the plaice was the best he'd ever had and the dragon pie was just what we needed”

“A beautiful tea room with a vintage feel. The owners are attentive without being intrusive and the food is beautiful. The afternoon tea does need to be pre-booked as it is all made fresh; the scones were still warm from the oven! Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.”

“Don't know the area at all, walked round looked at a few coffee shops seemed pricey for a brew, and was all prepacked heat up behind the counter jobs. Saw a road worker by his van, asked him if he new any decent places for a fry up, he suggested hitchin lol. As I was walking away he said hang on there a place down there called star.. So ended up in here, very clean, nice and pleasant staff at counter waiting. Food prices on par with similar styled cafes. Good selection, food and tea came out piping hot and fresh. Can't fault anything. Will use again if in the area. Was eating on my own as only in area as motorbike having work done in the area. Felt welcome and didn't feel uncomfortable at all like you can eating in some places when on your tod. Thanks guys”

Our curries were delicious, packed with taste and spice, and surprisingly affordable too. Service was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Knocked one star off atmosphere. Not the resturants fault, another table of guests noisily watching videos with loud music. TikToks. Normally, rude patrons wouldn't appear or be relivant to a review, but they seemed far too nonchalant, guessing their regulars, so might be relevant!”

“The food was amazing. I had a lamb mussaman curry and my mum had a chicken penang curry. Both were delicious. The Penang was spicier than I've tried in the past but maybe that's more authentic! Service was also excellent.”

“We went to O'Sarrcino for a birthday Sunday lunch and had an amazing time as a party of 8 including 2 children. Our server, Joy, was fantastic, engaging with us in Italian (family member is learning Italian for their holidays) and she was excellent with the children. Service was attentive, but not over the top. Food was excellent, brought out at a good pace. We didn't feel rushed. It's an authentic Italian restaurant, run by Italian staff, with great food and Italian atmosphere. Would highly recommend and it's worth the drive if you're not local!”

“Had dinner in Buffalo mid-week. We didn’t have a reservation. We got a table straight away. The restaurant was busy. Our server, Shah was very helpful and explore menu and suggested some dishes to meet our requirements. The menu had a great selection of dishes. We especially enjoyed the spinach and feta in filo pastry and the prawns. For the main the braised lamb shank and the moussaka were enjoyed. Mehmet was very helpful and checked in with us throughout the meal to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This is an excellent restaurant with good value for money and friendly staff. Highly recommended.”

“This was my very first visit to Chez Jerome, I visited with a friend and we were made very welcome. We sat at table no 1 in the window, which looked very Christmasy. We had a extensive menu to choose from. We both chose the festive 3 course menu. I had smoked kipper for starter, my friend chose melon and prawn cocktail. Both were absolutely delicious. We were also served fresh baked small baguette type slices So tasty we finished the lot off! For our mains I chose salmon with seasonal vegetables, my friend chose duck also with seasonal vegetables. The size of the meal was deceiving, there was plenty and we both struggled to get through it, again both were cooked to perfection. Dessert was an amaretto espresso coffee dessert followed by a lovely liquor coffee,I had TIA Maria and my friends had baileys. We also had a glass of water and I had a glass of rosé wine and my friend had a soft drink. The price of the whole meal was very reasonable for what we had. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. My experience here for the first time was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and we were made very welcomed. Thank you to the chef and owners of Chez Jerome and waitress for a great experience.”
