“Really good food nice and friendly people”

“This hidden gem is a must if you're in Nottingham and like fine food. Fletcher's Dining is at Nottingham College, staffed by students. We were recommended we visit here by a local friend, and our first time certainly won't be our last. You book the date you want, but be warned, they book up fast, and choose the meat or vegetarian menu, and then sit back and relax! The team met us at the door and although they were clearly nervous, they were friendly throughout. We had five different courses of delicious food, and in no way would you say this food was from someone in training, it was amazing. From braised pigs cheeks, to polenta cake, it was a taste sensation. Highly recommended, but do book early!”

“Recently visited this dance wear shop for my daughters first fitting for pointe shoes. Very welcoming friendly team. Lady who fitted the shoes was kind and totally professional. Could not recommend this shop enough for their expert support. Made a young ladies dreams come true .”

“Had a large chicken burrito with drink and chips from here. Customised good generous fillings and good moneys worth. Staff were friendly and helpful with offering blue light/studen discount. Atmosphere was good and busy, only downfall being bits food on tables that needs wiping Definitely going again!”

“We arrived at 12 noon and we're so pleased that breakfast is served all day! Good cooked breakfasts, including vegetarian. Fast service, good portion size and lovely, cosy atmosphere. Not much parking available, but we could park on the street and it was quiet due to it being the weekend. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.”

“At last! A decent curry in Nottinghamshire. I’m from Birmingham so have spent my life enjoying delicious curries. I’ve tried countless curries in Nottingham and not found one that came close to one from the west midlands. We’ve tried 3 curries so far and all have been really fantastic. The naans are also great, along with the rice and other sides. Can’t fault!”

“Great tasting food, big portions and excellent value for money. I got the Rotana special thinking its for 2 ppl but can easily be enough for three. My favourite was the grilled lamb. Chicken wss really food. Salads, soup as starters are complimentary. Will definitely visit again”

“Creative Cocktails and Grand Atmosphere at The Alchemist ​Rating: 5/5 Stars ​We popped into The Alchemist King Street for a pre-dinner cocktail and were thoroughly impressed. The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. ​The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. ​The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. ​If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.”

“Can’t express it in words !! It was such a heart warming experience. We had got reference for Anoki and we were so excited to try it out. Being new to England, we went in with low expectations regarding the taste, but wow, it was the complete opposite! We were honestly blown away by how authentic the flavors were, just like back home in India. The food was absolutely amazing. Speaking of the chef, he was incredibly generous. When we mentioned that we were students, he warmly welcomed us with a delicious orange-guava mixed juice that tasted out of this world. Will definitely like to visit again♥️”

“Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant.. one person on our table has a severe allergy to nuts, and the staff were amazing. They called her before hand to ensure she had a meal that was “safe”. We also had a gluten free and vegetarian in our party and the staff where happy to stand and to though the menu with us. Thought out the night they kept coming to check on us, answering questioned we had regarding food and drink. - Food was lovely and the music was right up our street. Lillian is an asset to bistro live. Although she was working she just matched the vibe of our table, even coming over at the end of her shift to say good bye and told me to enjoy my night…”

“I drank in this pub 50 years ago when I was at Trent College.spent many happy hours in there. In those far off days the landlord was a jovial guy called Jack. Called in there last year before lockdown,much smarter now and far more choice still a great pub.in those days mild and blackcurrant 11d old money! Happy days and better than learning at school.”

“Hooters isn't what I expected, in a good way. The food is absolutely outstanding! The best American food in Nottingham and the chicken is to die for. Far from being a seedy place where creepy blokes leer at vulnerable women, I've found Hooters to be quite the opposite. Young families sit around tables, sharing food together and it's a decent casual date location, with plenty of couples eating together. The menu is really good. It's lots of the same stuff in different combos, but this has two great benefits. First of all, with less ingredients you generally get better quality food and that's true here. Secondly, it's made a lot quicker than it otherwise would be as the chefs have more experience with each item than they would at a restaurant with many different items. I recommend the Cajun wings and the Parmesan garlic shrimp, with a side of tots. The coleslaw is a nice side to add. Beer options is probably the worst part of the menu. It's boring and really misses Blue Moon, with nothing similar since they removed it from the menu. I love it, I'll be going again with my fiance, or my work mates, or before the hockey. It's so good I've made it my standard go to food option in the city. Check it out.”

“Had a spot of light lunch and a few drinks (non alcoholic) whilst waiting for my car to be serviced at the nearby Volkswagen garage. It's set on the main road but has a lovely outdoor area as well as plenty of space inside. Was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on a Monday lunchtime! The staff are absolutely lovely and very polite / attentive. Really clean environment - including the toilets which were spotless. The food was really fresh, incredibly tasty and good value. It's a greene king so you know that the drinks are going to be cheap but they were still nice. Overall I was really satisfied with the experience and I look forward to coming back and trying some more of the menu.”

“Atmosphere was buzzing, everybody seemed happy & relaxed. Caitlin the manager is brilliant and knows to keep staff & customers happy. Food was fresh and tasty, I was served by Antonia, very polite and friendly. Goes the extra mile to make sure everything is ok. Credit to Nando’s . “Best Neapolitan pizza in Nottingham. I have tried this pizza place 4 times since the first day they opened and I can say that they are doing amazing! After they trip and travels to Italy, they have gain the experience of the proper Neapolitan cuisine and they have brought it directly to Nottingham. Excellent flavor and perfect pizza dough: soft, elastic and with a raised crust. With most of the ingredients directly imported from Italy, the quality is 10. But pizza is not the only think they have, we tried the chili chips the first time we went and we loved them! Now is one of our must when we go. They also have antipasti boards, garlic dough balls and amazing desserts! If you cannot decide with the pizzas my favorite one is the Nduja pizza! A spicy and spreadable pork salami from Calabria.”

“Dropped in last minute as needed to have an urgent teams meeting. I think it's important for Greene King to recognise what a quality Barmaid they have in Emma, she couldn't do enough to accommodate me. Really impressed. Had a couple of drinks and ended up having a bite to eat, absolutely no complaints with the food. Was an unplanned stop but defo encouraged a return. Nice one Emma, you made the visit!”

“Several weeks ago we ordered a large fridge freezer from John Lewis, we were served by Martin, who was extremely knowledgeable on the product. It was not a stock order and as we were ordering it on a Sunday, Martin was not able to tell me when it could be delivered. He promised that he would call the company the next day and then let me know approximately how long it would be, before it was ready for delivery, direct from Fisher Paykel. During the time we were waiting for the delivery I rang Martin and asked him several questions about installation and size of the cabinet trying to judge whether we would get it through our front door. Every time he said he would do something he always delivered, he went the extra mile putting my mind at rest. He made several calls to me keeping me updated. I have been a customer of John Lewis for many years and have always received excellent service, however I feel that Martin went above and beyond. He is a great ambassador for John Lewis, thank you Martin for all for care and consideration The Fridge freezer was delivered today and Fisher Paykel staff also behaved in a manner that their company should be proud of. The cabinet would not go through our door complete, which meant that they had to take the doors off to get it into the house. This was done with the minimum fuss and they left us with a fully operating fridge freezer, also taking away the packaging. The whole experience from start to finish has been fantastic, thanks to both companies your staff certainly delivered excellent customer service.”

“Clean and not busy for Sunday. Ordered different burgers. Both chicken and lamb nice- halal McDonald’s upnorth. Chips could of done with a bit more salt but would not stop me coming again. Was served by Ahmed who was polite, friendly and helpful.”
