“A wonderful place to study and work!”
“Can't understand what all the fuss is about...... every time I have wanted to see a doctor I have rung at half 8 and been given an appointment. All the doctors have seemed very sensible, listened well and sorted me out. Much better service than my GP back home. Not looking forward to the day I stop being a student and have to go back to having a normal GP where you have to wait weeks for an appointment and they have very few crisis appointment slots.”
“I recently completed the Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology CPD with Katy at a lovely venue in Coton just outside Cambridge. The day course gives you everything you need to start using the stones with confidence. Katy is very knowledgeable and has a true passion for reflexology and the benefits of using the stones. I've had lots of encouraging feedback from my clients who have now experienced hot and cold stones reflexology so I'm really glad I've added this to my skill set.”
“My twins have been going since january and they love it. Everyone is so kind there and always make the effort to let you know what they have been doing through the day and what they have eaten. My little boy was a bit sceptical about going but has loved it ever since. They provide good hearty meals as well which is great. Even got my fussy little girl to try different foods so that's a win for me. Couldnt recommend this nursery enough!”
“Camping for Cliff big weekend. Great food fantastic place”
“Tutors are friendly, approachable and amazing at what they do. Sessions are well thought out and learning is made fun.”
“We’re so pleased as first time parents to leave our child in such good care. Our daughter has been with chestnuts since being 3 months old and safe to say we never had any worries and were always reassured. She’s always learning new skills and enjoys interacting with her other nursery friends in little tigers. The staff are so friendly and always go above and beyond to ensure our daughter is happy and content. We regularly receive plenty of pictures and are updated throughout the day of her progress. I would highly recommend chestnuts.”
“The studio apartment is pretty good - spacious enough with good storage space. Monthly social events are usually planned quite well. Common spaces are kept tidy. Gym is good but couple of important equipments are missing.”
“When I first arrived at Northern College I didn’t conform to social norms. My behaviour was wild, and I was living with severe mental illnesses. I struggled to fit into any environment. At Northern, no one gave up on me. They saw the person behind the difficulties and helped me see that I was worth investing in. I've gone from not knowing 5+2 or the alphabet to gaining all distinctions in my Access to HE Diploma, and securing a place at my first choice university. Northern gave me the right support and saw potential in me that I couldn’t see in myself. They gave me the tools, patience, and positive belief. Slowly, I learned how to manage my illnesses, my social skills improved and I believed in my own abilities. This is proof that change is possible when you find the right place and the right people. You can rewrite your story with the help from the amazing humans at Northern College. With sincere gratitude, thanks again to Katie, Nick, Zoe, Claire, stu, Rachel, John and cintia.”
“Last minute change due to an Airbnb host letting us down, we weren't disappointed. Very strange set up, we were literally on uni grounds, staying alongside students. We even had a shared kitchen in the flat we were staying in. We weren't sure if actual students were joining us at first! Took us a while to actually get to the right car park but the staff were very helpful. There was an on site cafe and shop which were both cheap due to being on student grounds. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower was a bit weak but you can't have everything. Truly felt like a student when I woke up to find the other people sharing our flat had robbed my food from the kitchen fridge!”
“More than just a school, it’s a community which soon becomes apparent the moment you step through the door where traditional disciplines still exist. We have 3 children, Years 8, 10 & 12 who came up from Ranby House; we’ve had our first experience of GCSE’s at Worksop College achieving Grade 8 & 9’s are obviously delighted with the standard of teaching/learning opportunities. They embrace boarding life out of choice rather than necessity. We have musical talent & can only say that the tuition, mentoring, performance opportunities must be explored if music is your child’s thing. We have a netball player, Fitness/gym/hockey player & a cricket enthusiast who are very fortunate to have the privilege of some fantastic facilities. As parents we’re also happy that our children have remained together throughout their learning as it has catered for all 3! I felt I must leave a review, especially during this very strange time for us all, this period of LOCKDOWN to praise Worksop College Ranby House on how they’ve handled the whole process for our children. Interactive/on-line learning was successfully implemented from Day 1 and their structured learning in place up to our Easter Break at the end of March, our children returning full-flow straight back into their ‘new normal’ lessons, including music tuition, with great ease. The whole process during this unprecedented time has to be commended and as parents we are extremely grateful. We look forward to the day we’re all back to it!!”
