“Genuinely one of the nicest hot chocolates I have ever had. I travel a lot for work and it’s always nice to stop off to grab a bite or a hot drink so I have certainly found a good spot here. Staff were an absolute credit to the brand with excellent service, it’s so refreshing to see some staff not being scripted or robotic nowadays, they showed plenty of humour and personality. The owner Ross is also a real funny character! Certainly will be visiting again when I’m passing by the area!”

“A wonderful local cafe with vegan and veggie options. Even have gluten free available. You can even do takeout whixh it a godsend if like me you never get free time! Even has a little handmade shop section where you can buy some locally made gifts and a book shop/swap system! Very cool!”

“The gentleman who served us in the shop was so so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my sons new double bed would be delivered on our moving in date as a surprise for my son. We really really appreciated this! We have bought all our beds from the Doncaster store over the years and the service and quality has always been exceptional. Highly recommend them.”

“This pub is in a good location with a nice setting right in the gateway of the peak district. The Sunday roast and the dessert here was spot on, and the service is good and friendly. From the dining area, there is a pleasant view overlooking the surrounding scenery despite the carpark. Parking here isn't an issue, as the carpark is opposite and has plenty of space. There is also a play area and outdoor seating leading up the stairway to the entrance, with additional benches in the carpark.”

Had the coronation chicken and it was a hearty portion - bigger than expected, and bigger than most places! Waitress was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.”

“Been here quite a few times, sometimes just for coffee, other times had pizza and breakfast, (not at the same time!). Each time the food has been absolutely excellent. I'm not really a pizza fan but these are on a par with ones I've had in Italy. My only gripe, and it doesn't just apply to here, many places do it and I've never understood it, and that is (referring to the English breakfast) why do you cook and provide such great food yet ruin it by supplying the most awful, cheap and nasty brown and red sauce. If it's a cost thing, why not just add 50p to each breakfast and get proper HP Sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup? Really, really baffles me!!”

“I ordered their Feta Gyro and it has to be one of the best things I've eaten! The staff are very friendly too and the pricing is reasonable. I look forward to returning soon to try the Halloumi Gyro!”

“We haven't been for a while and it seems to have found it's niche in Nether edge. Really good coffee, great cake and very welcoming atmosphere and staff. It's quieter than others close by which was perfect for me. Update- the cafe has really found it's feet. Everything home made, sour dough based. This morning we sampled a wonderful cinnamon bun.”

“Absolutely fantastic little cafe providing proper quality food rather than your regular cheap produce. Proper butcher quality food supplied for their own butchers, best black pudding I've ever had and the sausages were absolutely delicious. What a lovely little sit in cafe. Shame I didn't get any pictures and also I forgot to ask what their butchers is called to pop in and buy some meat”

You can byob for a corkage fee of only £3pp so can bring a bottle of wine and get a bit sloshed to make the food taste even more incredible. Lovely fish and chips all round, and lovely service too, friendly, welcoming, speedy, price competitive. Even though I personally don't have dietary needs, I'll order from here going forward in preference to others without the GF options because I appreciate the effort taken.”

Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.”
