“Second time we’ve been since the new owners and it’s been fabulous on both occasions. Such a variety on the menu so there is something for everyone and the kids menu is great too. “Easy to see why this is a Good Beer Guide CAMRA 2023 pub. Proper town centre two room pub with an older cliental opposite the station. Madge went for Acorn Barnsley bitter as the very short lived British August Summer ended in a downburst. Really love the traditional back lounge. Madge took a pint of Acorn Barnsley bittet. Lovely. Nice place to start or finish a Doncaster pub crawl.”

“Can't fault this place at all. Staff were really attentive and food is absolutely delicious! I got introduced to cheese sauce on my roast dinner for first time as a southerner. Let's just say I was very impressed indeed and didn't realise what I've been missing all this time on my roasts! Highly recommended place for pub lunch and lovely Yorkshire Cask Ales!”

“Have recently been using James the junior barber recently and the service has been fantastic, barbering and styling is truly on point. Throughout the pandemic the team have worked hard to keep all their customers safe. Visiting this barbers is truly an excellent experience. “I came across this bar on Saturday and absolutely loved it, loved the upcycled theme throughout and the vibe inside was really good. Really loved the beer kegs turned into stools! The bar staff were friendly and helpful and quick service. The drinks were quiet expensive compared to other bars but they tasted so good I didn't mind paying that bit extra. Will be going again and recommending it to all my friends.”

“Popped in for a drink on Saturday, after seeing the wonderful meals coming out from the kitchen we decided to stay and have a meal. Gorgeous food I’m not one to leave reviews but honestly the food was delicious I had vegetarian lasagne my husband had sausage and mash. It was so good we booked for Sunday dinner the next day, once again gorgeous honestly you have got to try this place, great friendly staff and the food well it has to be tried, absolutely gorgeous.”

“Nice Little Pub Wanted to book for the Friday but food was not on (later found out that somebody had removed the exhausts from the supply companies vans)!! Booked for the Saturday for a family of 4 and had a nice meal just before the evening entertainment started. It has a nice big beer garden for the kids. Would certainly visit again for a drink and food, Catches a lot of walkers, cyclists, bikers and tourers from the Caravan Park at the rear.”

“Having come as a recommendation and seeing the good reviews we decided to give it a go and was so happy. The staff were very friendly (especially Sarah) who was very chatty and welcoming. There was plenty of choice and we got meals from different sections of the menu as well as the specials board and it was all great. The Steak & Ale pie was especially amazing!! We didn't have starters so we could try the desserts and they were also all so good!! We will definitely go back again and even though it's a bit more expensive, it is definitely worth it!! Can't wait to try it in summer as well with the live music and beer garden. Thank you all so much. Have been for a second visit with friends to introduce them. Service was a bit slow but it was a beautiful day and all the tables were full. The food was amazing again and we even tried the ice cream parlour next door which was so nice. Spent an hour in the beer garden which was large and I would say it's alright. Tables and chairs were all solid and better than some basic ones. Still 5 stars from me!!”

“So came here about 3 weeks ago for Sunday carvery. Told staff best carvery I’ve ever had . So much meat selection and vegetables everything I liked was there :) will be my new favourite place for Sunday carvery. Nice staff and lovely place. Top notch food”
