“Start from the location just next to train station and in the heart of this beautiful town. The second thing which make this place highlighted is amazing selection of craft beers from IPA to stout & sour. Third is awesome atmosphere which I really like. Good vibes and friendly approachable people in the bar. Specially I like the wall full of colour beer pump clips. Service was good and the prices were very pocket friendly. Hope after all these points I recommend it. Worth to visit”

“Warmly welcomed on entering, able to choose where we sat, which is always nice. Cosy country pub feel with a roaring fire. Food was of a good standard and well presented. The selection of bees and wines was very good, having Kopperburg crisp apple on draughty, was a first for me. The view from the garden is spectacular, and we will definitely make it one of our summer destinations.”

Didn't eat while I was there but the menu on the table looked like a good selection of pub classics at reasonable prices. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going back to the Windmill.”

“Incredible service. I broke down and managed to get my car into the car park at this hotel. Dylan was working the night shift on reception and was so helpful. He was very helpful in getting me any help needed and when I eventually needed to book a room he got this sorted for me very quickly and even accommodated really well for my dog. Then when checking out in the morning, the lady on reception was also incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating, especially for my dog once again. I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so kind and helpful when I was in a tight spot. The best experience I could have from the loveliest staff.”

“A great pub. Great food and drink. Landlord is a gentleman and his wife a fantastic cook. I always have the gammon washed down with a few beers. Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!”

“A real gem of a pub. Had the fortune to be in here when the landlord Steve was able to give the customers a quick history of the pub and his grandmother who ran it for 40 years until she was 80. His rejuvenation of the building is astounding. The attention to detail and historic sympathetic refurbishment is a real nod to the past.”

“Five star service from the owners at drinkstop. They went over and beyond the call of duty to try and source a drink that they (and no other off-licence in the area) had in stock. They even checked several cash and carries to try and find the alcohol that I required and kept me updated each day when they were unable to source it. “The staff are fantastic here from the owner Raj Sue and all the other members of the team everything in this shop is much much cheaper than the so called high street giant's such as Tescos and Sainsbury's never go anywhere else to buy my newspaper or cigarette's how can a small one man operation be 60p cheaper on a packet of cigarettes than the so called high street giant's Raj won't be giving them away he will still be making his profit margin long live the small business owners”
