Yes, it's a chain, but the food and service here is consistently good. Great value too with some the offers. Overall a really great place for lunch. The Fiery Calabria pizza is recommended.

My first experience at an ask italian was wonderful! Although it is slightly on the pricier side, all of their food is absolutely delicious and the staff were all really nice… went here to celebrate gcse results and i’m very glad i did

I do not know where to start to express my endless indignation. Perhaps from there it smells of urine everywhere (I never knew if it was from dirty sofas or from the floor that had not met with a mop for centuries). I will attach photos for the food and everyone will make their own judgment. Each of the dishes cost about £20. We were served 5 minutes after we ordered them, which of course was a sign that they were prepared back in time and just warmed before serving them. Terrible place that is very overrated !!!! I bet many of the good reviews here are fake !!!! ---------- Thanks for your reply but it doesn't have a truth. In your opinion, does this look like a well prepared food or a well cleaned floor ? It's shame that you answer with lies. On the photos are seen everything !

Food was terrible. Pasta came out dry and tasteless. Waitress took some meals back to the kitchen but they came out worse. Almost like they’d just added water to the first dish because it was dripping after. See images. With exception of the fish dish, EVERY other dish was tasteless. Chicken in the Orzo dish was flat and dense. Carbonara tasted like nothing. With all the other better Ask Italians we’ve been to, you always get the shot of Lemonade which is a small but appreciated gesture. We watched every other table get one, but not us.

My parents like to eat here as a special lunch treat and very much enjoy sitting on one of the window tables. I joined them last week and was so impressed by both the waitress and the duty manager for the way they engaged with us and looked after us all. They were super patient and very kind towards my elderly parents. As usual the food was really delicious, piping hot and cooked fresh for us. Thank you, your kindness did not go unnoticed.

Handmade pasta is very delicious and fresh. One of the best Italian restaurants I had and good service!

We booked a last minute table for Saturday evening and it was busy but not rammed. Service was fairly efficient and friendly but it would be better if ASK paid their staff more so they aren’t as pushy in wanting us to pay them tips when it came to us paying the bill at the end of the night. We had calamari and arancini to start, calzone and seafood linguine for mains. Then chocolate fondant and profiterole for dessert. The food was tasty, but there could have been more seafood in the pasta.

Our family popped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We hadn't booked but there were tables available and we sat at the back. The food was very good and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean which is important to us. In addition to our drinks, we were brought a jug of water.

I came inside to grab an early dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty at this time. I was greeted with a smile by Liliana. She asked whether I have any allergies and set me at a table of my choice. She was very attentive. Mushroom al forno was the starter of my choice and it was really tasty the presentation was really nice and the dish was steaming hot as it came in a small iron skillet. Liliana recommended the beef brisket pappardelle (a new dish on the menu). This dish was extremely tasty the beef was very tender and the portion was large enough as well. I then tasted the Tiramisu, and again it was delicious and a very good way to end the dining experience. The dishes were all very tasty as well as the cocktail (Passionfruit martini) and Liliana made my day, her recommendations were on point and she changed my cutleries after every meal. I also thank her for the jokes and smiles and of course for the attentive service she provided. I certainly will be back.
