Booked here for midweek christmas work lunch with two others. One of whom was vegetarian. It was extremely quiet in the restaurant but the service was still really slow. Upon being seated we werent made aware of any missing menu items but then on ordering we were disappointed to learn there wasnt any seabas available - which is the only fish on the menu with 3 different versions, none of which were available and limited my vegetarian friend somewhat. Others ordered fillet steak which stated it came with a side of tenderstem brocolli. Food arrived fairly quickly but one was flat cold. The broccoli was not tenderstem and my fries which were described as skin-on were merely plain old basic fries. The extra side of deep fried courgette had a strange after taste and was inedible. My vegetarian friend chose veggie pizza and asked for a side of olives which never arrived and extra olives were just put all over her pizza. the dessert menu again was missing items. Icecream was just a bowl of plain icecream with no tweel or wafer and so lacking any finess or attention to detail. The menu doesnt match the ingredients and the Communication and service just lacked and im afraid i wouldnt recommend or return.

We made a reservation for six in advance and were seated imidiately. The service was prompt and polite with only short waiting times. I enjoyed a lemonade, garlic bread with cheese, crispy calamari and the broccoli+chicken pasta. The atmosphere was calm if a little crowded, the decor was beautiful and the music was tastefully on theme.

Really nice restaurant. Service was very good.Nice choice of dishes at reasonable prices. The dishes themselves were very tasty, steak a little overcooked but otherwise it was all faultless. Atmosphere very cosy and warm.

We decided to go here for my husbands birthday and was so happy we did. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the decor was so warm and inviting. We were seated upstairs which is a little small but perfect for an intimate dinner so it was perfect for us. The service was great we got served quickly and by our lovely waiter our drinks arrived quickly and the food followed not long after. The food as amazing and was such amazing quality with a good portion size to boot. But the best thing had to be the desserts they were absolutely divine!! Homemade and so flavourful I could have just ordered multiple dishes of the dessert lmao. So overall a fantastic Italian restaurant with amazing staff and outstanding food we will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend this restaurant :-)

Lovely setting must be one of oldest buildings in wakefield! Food really flavoursome bit the pizzas a bit doughy but overall excellent service the waiter was really attentive and would go back. Booked last min too.

Looked for a local Italian for a quick date night meal and I happened to find Fino. I'm very glad I did! I went for the pollo e funghi and my girlfriend had the penne arrabiata. Both meals were amazing and my girlfriend wanted tagliatelle instead of penne pasta, not a problem! The meals were full of flavour and were exactly as described on the menu. Mine was full of garlic which I very much enjoyed however some may find it over powering, so it's good to discuss with your waiter beforehand. We had cocktails and mocktails with our meals and again, what a great choice these were. 2 for £10 for any two cocktails on the menu, they were full of flavour, not watered down and just exactly as described (a running theme here) The 2 for £6 mocktails were again full of flavour and great value for money. Our waiter was Joe and he deserves a special mention as I haven't had such good service in such a long time. Joe was very friendly and inviting, professional but not over the top. He made sure we had what we wanted and that everything was all okay with our meals throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for Joe and I'd return based on his service alone! The building Fino is based in is also ideal, it's a grade 2 listed building I believe and it has been decorated to suit the space perfectly. Very cosy, good furnishings and surrounds and just a nice atmosphere whether upstairs or down. Overall I was very happy to visit Fino and will soon be back to try more of the menu I'm sure!
