My friends and I visited the Waggon and Horses on Monday. When I arrived my friends had already been there for 20 minutes of which the drinks arrived as I arrived. We waited over 40 minutes and still no one took our order. I caught the attention of one of the waitresses as she was serving others. We understood itβs Christmas and itβs busy, but not to be attended to is not acceptable. We had an elderly lady with us and it definitely was not good for her. We ordered our meal.My meal was not overwhelming. The Steak was tough and it wasnβt very hot. The elderly lady was diabetic. Yes, we would have highlighted this and the lady just had a soup. But on no occasion was any of us asked did we have any allergies etc. This should have been asked at the beginning of our service! As you can imagine we all were very disappointed. We all have ate here on many occasions, as a group and as individuals with our partners. I feel I have to disclose this because what was supposed to be a lovely occasion was disappointing for all of us. Kind Regards

A lovely spot! We visited here the other week as part of our Christmas do midweek. After being told to leave from another establishment up the road I spoke to the girl behind the bar pre warning we might be a bit loud and she was very welcoming. We stayed in here for a few drinks before moving on. A lovely spot. Very clean. And having been for food here before, very good food too.

Just had breakfast with the family and it was excellent. The Turkish eggs were cooked perfectly, as was everyone elseβs various dishes. No one was disappointed all really enjoyed their food. Staff were lovely attentive and very friendly. Would highly recommend

My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning

The good was really exceptional. I don't normally do mothers day out as too busy, poor menu and and poor service. Not here... Really good flavours, good value. Opened my eyes and will deffo be back. Need more like this place in the area.

Absolutely fabulous staff. One of the barmaids with blonde hair and doc martins boots is absolutely awesome and a fantastic staff member, dead friendly and a great asset to the place. The drinks are fairly priced. Tables etc furniture v good..spotless gents. A lovely place to visit

Enjoyed a very nice meal at the waggon Inn. A little pricey considering you need to order potatoes and vegetables to go with your main if ordering lamb shank. Puds also pricey at Β£7.50 but decent portions. Good service.

Wednesday lunch only one table before us but service very slow. Sausage and Mash... Sausages burnt and we were not the only ones....staff did not care or comment. The ham dish was very dry perhaps beans or something moist instead of the dry cabbage, although the egg was beautiful. When the bill came they "forgot" it was Wednesday and the discount on the wine. Definitely not worth a visit. Also a big space but the total of 4 tables where put really close together so we had to listen to a business meeting about insurance!!!!

Visited The Waggon at the weekend for a celebratory birthday breakfast. Sat in the dog friendly area near the fire. The food was excellent. We had full English which was very well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Excellent value for money. Staff were lovely, very friendly even brought a treat for our dog. Would highly recommend. One of our favourite places to visit in Uppermill.
