Unfortunately didn’t get to try my pizza due to poor hygiene by the staff. The presentation of the pizza as well is not great as I asked for ham, some spinach and rocket. I didn’t get any ham (even though I paid extra for it), and got a whole bag of spinach and rocket instead. The staff member was on her phone while the pizzas were cooking then got them out and used her hands to put toppings on mine and other peoples pizza without washing her hands. I was really looking forward to this pizza from the reviews but because of poor hygiene and a whole bag of salad dumped on the pizza I was unable to eat the pizza.

With a casual and trendy vibe, Pizza Union Aldgate is popular for its lightning-fast service and consistently tasty pizzas, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a late-night bite. The restaurant welcomes groups, college students, and solo diners alike, and offers flexible options including dine-in, takeout, and outdoor seating. Its cozy atmosphere, accessible entrance, and broad menu with vegan and vegetarian choices set it apart from typical fast-food pizza spots in the area.

Pizza Union – Aldgate Review Pizza Union in Aldgate is one of those spots that nails the balance between quality, speed, and price. The first thing you notice is the atmosphere – industrial dΓ©cor with a buzzy, informal vibe that makes it perfect for a quick bite with friends, family, or even before a night out. The pizzas themselves are thin-crust, Roman style, and cooked in just a couple of minutes in their giant stone ovens. The bases are crisp, light, and slightly charred, which gives every bite that authentic Italian feel. Toppings are generous but never over the top – fresh mozzarella, spicy nduja, smoky pepperoni, and plenty of veggie options too. If you fancy something different, their β€œDolce” dessert pizza (Nutella, mascarpone, and biscuit crumbs) is worth saving space for. Price-wise, it’s hard to beat. Most pizzas are under Β£10, and you get full size, restaurant-quality food for what you’d pay for a takeaway. Drinks are self-service and affordable, and they also do cocktails and craft beers if you want to make an evening of it. Service is quick and efficient – order at the counter, grab your buzzer, and within five minutes your pizza is piping hot on the table. Staff are friendly but don’t hover, which fits the casual style perfectly. Overall: If you want fast, fresh, and affordable pizza in East London, Pizza Union Aldgate is a winner. It’s not fine dining, but that’s exactly the point – great food, great value, zero fuss.

The pizza… absolutely amazing! The dough was light and perfectly crisp, the tomato sauce tasted fresh and homemade, and the toppings were high quality. I ordered the Calabria. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. And the cannolo: super tasty, thank you Lexi and the team!!!

Great pizzas at great prices. Classic thin pizza bases with generous tasty toppings. Prices kept down due to the self service and there seemed to be a constant queue for ordering. But you really can’t complain as it’s good fun, fast and buzzing atmosphere due to the popularity. I’ve had better pizzas but not better prices!

I tried Pizza Union's Margherita pizza and it was like a culinary teleportation to Italy. The pizza was made super quick, Italian-style and the thin crust was a perfect base for the simple yet delicious toppings. The sauce was tangy and the cheese was melty and just the right amount of gooey. It's definitely a good shout for pizza in London! The only downside was that the place tends to be packed with students, but hey, they have great taste in pizza! The staff were friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. If you're looking for a quick and delicious pizza fix, check out Pizza Union. Just be prepared to fight off some hungry students for a table

Delicious and affordable wood fired pizza. I’ve tried the margarita and the fungi (mushroom) pizzas and they are both amazing! Their service is super quick and the quality is always consistent. All the pizzas are 12inches and priced really well. One of my preferred lunch spots in the area.

Friendly & helpful staff, clean & pleasant environment, comfortable temperature, great music at the right volume & delicious pizza! Cooked to perfection, speedy service, incredible prices. We visited mid- week at lunch time- there were plenty of free tables. Such a cool vibe with a mixture of customers. Such a pleasant experience. We can't wait to return.....

I loved my experience here. Cheap to the point you'll double take, the pizzas were thin and delicious. For only Β£5/6 you'll first thing it's the cost of a slice. It isn't. Friendly staff and a vibey atmosphere. I'll be coming back!
