This place is a favourite with our kids. So consistent every time we been. Mia and Hamid are such a joy. So friendly and welcoming. The kids menu is well thought out. The shared platter and the pizza sauce is a nice touch. Incredibly busy and it shows why.
I’m leaving a low rating. The waitress who served us was nice, and that’s basically the only positive. Many basic items from the menu were unavailable. In the dishes we did order, several key ingredients were missing. When we mentioned it to the assistant manager, he completely ignored us — not even a simple apology. The food was cold, and the place wasn’t even busy.
DO NOT EAT HERE GO TO THE SOUTH WOODFORD BRANCH Ordered four veggie pizzas for my families Friday night dinner. My sister waited 20 minutes longer than the half an hour we were told on the phone to collect. No apology from the restaurant. She then brought it home to find her margherita covered in PEPPERONI! She called them to complain to which they said we can make you a new one to collect? Despite having waited an hour to eat. Also said a refund couldn’t be made as we paid in store by card. Our other pizzas were undercooked and one barely had any cheese. Annoyed by this I took the pizza back and asked for our order to be refunded as our dinner had been ruined. The manager waited 15 minutes to show then apologised half heartedly and said he’d refund me. He then only offered to refund the pepperoni pizza and when I asked him to refund the rest he had the cheek to ask me to go and get the rest of the pizzas. Of course we had a few slices as we tried to salvage our trainwreck of a Friday night dinner so I didn’t bring them with me. We spent almost £100 and barely ate and the manager couldn’t have cared less. Charlie your service is shocking and I mean it when I say this is the worst restaurant I’ve been to. AVOID!
Itziar was extremely helpful. A real pleasure to deal with. She let me know about the app and potential rewards so saved me a few quid too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her or pizza express on loughton. The food was ace.
Actually terrible; worse Pizza Express I’ve been to and cannot recommend. Basic problem is clearly an inexperienced team who cannot cope with their online orders and neglect dining customers. Starters took over 30 minutes to arrive. To be clear, it was not full or busy inside, there were plenty of staff seemingly doing very little. Waiting staff made zero attempt to give people their correct food, check how you were, or even when asked to take a food order. To pay, I sat waving both arms in the air for over five minutes. This is nowhere near the experience of any other Pizza Express. Even the signage at the front, inside the store, had cobwebs on showing a clear lack pf regard. This Pizza Express clearly focusing on being the slightly nicer version of delivered pizza rather than an enjoyable evening with family. Spent £139.95 in the restaurant for a £50 experience. Just truly sad and disappointing.
My friends enjoyed their meals. My chicken wings were moist, but I would have liked more flavour. Server was nice but we had to remind her about some of our dishes. We were charged for an extra bottle of water on our bill.
At first, Service is very excellent.All foods are amazing. One of the waiter named Mehedi Hasan was very polite and his service was very professional. Love pizza express. Will go again ❤️❤️❤️.
One of the dishes was cold and they still added it to the bill. The server really didn't want to take it off the bill and made a poor excuse that made zero sense about the hot item coming out of the freezer. Finally when I refused to pay for a tip he got the message that I was annoyed and funnily enough the manager took the cold item off. Won't do right by me until it affects his tip. Not cool.
I always have Mia as a waitress and she is so helpful and goes above and beyond . She is the best staff at pizza express Loughton so friendly and warm. Thank you so much for making my families Sunday night.
Went for a midweek meal with family, the server was really nice and patient, all drinks and food came in good time. The restaurant wasn’t busy at 6:30, so wasn’t too noisy. The food was good, as you expect from pizza express. Been here a few times, never disappointed. Signed up to the app and got free dough balls !
