βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ We had a wonderful lunch at Yakinori Japanese Restaurant in Touchwood, Solihull. The food was authentic, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Every dish was full of flavour and really enjoyable. The kids loved their bubble tea and mochi, which made the visit even better for the whole family. A great spot for delicious Japanese cuisine highly recommend!

We visited the solihull branch. We ordered the stir fry vegetables because the menu described it as βstir fried vegetables.β What we received was mostly onions covered in sauce, with only a few pieces of mangetout and a few small slices of red pepper. The waitress was genuinely kind and tried her best to help. She went to the kitchen to pass on the feedback, and we overheard the chef say the dish was pre-portioned and that it wasnβt his fault. She then brought over the manager, who apologised but didnβt offer a replacement or any gesture of goodwill. We arenβt Japanese food experts, but everywhere weβve eaten, when the menu says mixed vegetable stir fry or mixed vegetable curry, you actually get a variety of vegetables. This felt far from that. Apart from this dish, the staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

We had an amazing time at the sushi making class at Yakinori Solihull β the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary! Santi was an outstanding instructor: friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. He ensured we had plenty of sushi to enjoy and guided us through each step with patience and enthusiasm. The class was well-organized, hands-on, and delicious from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!

all of the food was absolutely delicious and the seating next to the kitchen gave a nice opportunity to have an insight on how everything was being made. the atmosphere was super, and the music playing was great (i love kpop). the edamame and sushi were served quickly after we were able to order but the one negative thing i have to say is that we were encouraged to pay the bill before we had finished eating which made us feel a bit under pressure rather than being able to take it at our own pace and properly enjoy the food. but overall, it was a good experience and i would come back again!

Very disappointed ! If you want good sushi, do not go there : no taste, very small. I also ordered bao buns (chicken katsu bao) : good portion but again no taste, not hot enough. And finally it is very expensive for what it is

This branch along with the other 2 in Birmingham also being Halal except for the chicken and duck gyoza and the soya sauce they serve. The soya sauce on the tables if you check the ingredients shows alcohol. To the food: I always love Yakinori, reasonably priced and wide variety. My favourite dishes from there are chicken Karaage and pumpkin croquettes.

First time I have eaten here, the waiter staff were extremely friendly, the menu quite extensive and very Japanese. The cost was reasonable and comparable to similar restaurants of this type. The food was so tasty, both starters and mains. Couldn't manage dessert. Great choice to eat. Would try again if in the area as we were only visiting.

The food was absolutely fresh and amazing. Loved all the flavours of the duck and salmon poke bowl, tuna taco and chicken kokonatsu! Would definitely go again and again and recommend the place to all who love this type of cuisine! I removed a star for service as it was extremely slow and it took us several attempts on several occasions to get the servers attention.

Amazing food; the taste, the plating, and the options were all fantastic. I definitely would recommend this as a place to eat! Service was good once we were inside but we did queue for nearly an hour. I understand that it was a Saturday and they were very busy but it would have been juice for a member of staff to let us know there'd be a long wait rather than leaving us without saying anything.
