   I’ve just had a tasty supper at Ipfu. My sushi rolls were good and my veggie ramen was good too, they made it slightly spiced and it wasn’t too salty. I had a Japanese IPA which was OK. All for £30, the service was perfect.

   Yet another awesome sushi restaurant of which there seems to have been an explosion of in recent years which is fab! Beautifully light and crisp mixed tempura, gorgeous fresh sashimi (the mackerel seemed particularly good) and a delicious rainbow roll (I think it was). We then had a couple of the special desserts - apple gyozas and an ice-cream ball rolled in dessicated coconut, dipped in tempura batter and deep fried. Amazing! Wonderful, friendly and polite service and lovely atmosphere. Another one to recommend!

   Been a few times. Would recommend trying the salmon and avocado roll with scallop on top at £17. The special rolls are a bit more compared to the classics but they come a bit bigger, if you are in to try something different. The tea is very good and you can request a top up at no extra cost. The staff is very friendly. I’d recommend coming early before it gets busy if you don’t want to wait too long for your food.

   York gem. Pleasantly surprised, the food and tea were both good. Spacious inside and easy to get a table (though we went late in the afternoon). Tables and chairs are clean, and frequently cleaned. Service is good, no waiting around and very prompt and attentive. Worth a visit and recommend.

   If you're looking for a Japanese restaurant in York that has a huge variety of dishes to choose from, Ipfu is definitely the place to go. The staffs here are all very friendly and helpful, and if you're having a pot of tea, they'd ask if you need a refill (for free). The dishes are in good portions, especially the soup noodles - ramen, udon, and soba to choose from. There's also a sushi bar in the restaurant where you can sit at the bar and enjoy your meal (whilst watching the chef preparing food, if you'd like to)! The overall atmosphere in the restaurant is great, and since it's a big restaurant, you don't generally have to book to get in. I've dined in Ipfu several times and I'll always come back for the good food. Thank you!

   Large range of Japanese food selections. You can always find something you like. Very good price match to the food standard. However, the service is the only weakness. (all of their staff seems rather too serious when they work. ) They're doing their job all right, but not surprising restaurant your day off here. I like the young girl who served us even she is not amazing at service. (much sweeter than others. ) Therefore it's a 5-star recommendation! I
