I went to this place before my shift finished to order some food and told the boy serving i would be back in 10-15min.It was quiet and The boy was serving on his own at the front (young boy, named Janes, sorry for misspelling). He was giving fast and friendly service and apparently also doing deliveroo orders! He had my food ready by the time i came back and he kept it warm on the side for me. Portioning was great! Nice detail to write “Enjoy” on the lid :)

Really bad chicken quality, upsetting as had high expectations. Sadly they were short lived. The Beef was okay if not a tad sweet which I felt was unnecessary. Please look to improve the meat quality and use less sugar and oils in the sauces. I would not return.

Just ordered a takeaway out of large katsu curry - cannot underestimate how dry it is. In the past the quality has been exceptional but this really makes question whether it is worth it

Very nice food. Didn't expect it to be so tasty. Not many people in, quiet and clean shop. I didn't fancy the small spoon for the ramen, so I had to have it the Japanese style. I would've liked also if there was tap water provided, haven't asked but couldn't see a jar or glasses.

Charged for necessary bag to take food away in and also charged £1.20 for small disposable pot to put curry sauce in (sauce already paid for). Should just include the price of the bag as it is necessary to carry the containers and cutlery in and their dishes are already so expensive, almost £20 for two small/regular sized meal pots.

Always a great place to eat when you crave for Korean / Japanese food. Sometimes crowded but there is always some room, including outside which is my favorite. Try sweet chilli on rise with a touch of teriyaki sause on top.

Thanks for the owners being legends and waiting for the short staffed Deliveroo drivers to arrive after closing time! food was still warm on arrival and tasted great thank you! Got the chicken katsu curry (generous portion of katsu curry sauce) and sweet and sour chicken

Absolutely adore Kokoro ever since I moved to Kingston a few years ago. They’ve recently opened up shop in Surbiton and I’m so glad they have as I live locally and simply cannot fault these guys. The food is fresh, absolutely delicious and the portion size is always generous. They are consistently great with both hot dishes & cold foods (sushi / salads) and 100% worth every penny. It’s a great lunch time spot with plenty of different options to choose from as well as being pretty affordable for a “meal out”. I recently ordered a sushi party platter* for my household for my birthday and it was out of this world! Will continue to eat at Kokoro Surbiton and would encourage anyone who passes by or lives in the area to try their food ASAP! * I specifically requested for salmon sashimi but their original platter includes both Salmon & Tuna!
