Some staff are very rude and lack basic customer service. I realised at the till that I was unable to buy one the items due to an ingredient inside it. When I asked if I could leave the item, the cashier abruptly told me to go and put it back (never have I been to a supermarket where you are told to go and put something back at the other end of the store while carrying an impatient heavy toddler who wants to leave the store as soon as possible). To avoid confrontation, I agreed, holding up the queue in the meantime. To be honest, it's always this same lady who is snappy and cold.

I am disabled but wouldn't use my wheelchair in here. For one I don't think they have enough disabled parking spaces and secondly I would find it difficult to get round the store in my wheelchair. That aside I do find the staff friendly and helpful and of course it's much cheaper here.

Generally a great place to shop, except when they have the staff putting things out. The problem is they seem to start putting one item out, then leave the cages in the middle of the aisle or often in front of the shop and you want and then go somewhere else and start putting other shopping out and this happens simultaneously all over the store there are block and trip hazards everywhere. The new digital price facings are excellent when they are in place, which is about 75% of the time. Check out stuff our friendly the new self-checkout area is better than most of the supermarkets since as soon as you put a bag on it it doesn't need a member of staff to say ok and start packing it now (ASDA I'm looking at you) Better training could be given to Stafford regarding items that are out of stock It seems that the standard answer is "oh that was a special"considering it was an item that has been on continuous sale for about the last 7 years I doubt it... Items with a discount such as 30% have to be manually entered by the staff otherwise you pay full price. The 30% off the problem is if you don't know what the price was in the first place, it's 30% off what? This is because discounted items are often grouped away from the actual price facing, and don't have an individual price attached. All that said, 4 stars.

Great place to shop. The self service tills are very slow and unresponsive. The store seemed to have a lot of staff on the shop floor who were helpful but they need human till points open for the older people because of the poor self service points. Use your staff more effectively.

Tired and badly layered out shop, good for a lot bargains, although you could find it hard to get all your shopping.

It's a nice store and the girl on the checkout was lovely, but the overwhelming smell of weed throughout the store spoiled it for me

Our local Lidl was shut so it was off to Aldi for a change. Typical German supermarket, fair prices, loads of stock and the oddness of those middle aisles. 4/5 due to how little room there is to negotiate stuff. Quick update...aisles were a bit crowded as staff and shoppers tried to negotiate around various trolleys and pallet carriers. Tbf it was a busy time (Sunday morning).
