Ordered from here via Deliveroo to try for the first time and was extremely disappointed. Ordered the soft shell crab, and this is what arrived, it’s as if it was just the scraps off someone’s plate put in a box and delivered. Bear in mind this costs £10.40!! The other parts of the order were mediocre and on one of the mains, I’m pretty sure it was the wrong broth. When we called the manager to complain, she said it’s due to a ‘change in menu’… I’m not sure what a change in menu has to do with serving next to nothing in a box and charging over £10 for it! Super disappointed.

This was a first visit to the Chiswick location but I have been to the Kensington one numerous times over the years. It was quite easy to get a table as a walk-in on a Saturday evening. The 3 of us ordered the chicken karaage, soft shell crab, prawn tempura, sashimi selection, Singapore noodles, curry laksa and the black bean beef with rice. The food was all nice enough, I’m not quite sure if it was as good as the Kensington location but we did order a few different menu items which makes it harder to compare. Service was fine. The bill came to £131 of which £37 was spent on drinks. Overall a nice enough dinner, cheap and cheerful, but more of a local neighbourhood spot and not one worth going out of your way for.

I can't discount a single thing we ate here. I had the curry laksa, and my husband had the tantanmian. They were both delicious! The unagi nigiri was also tasty. The staff were kind and attentive, the restaurant itself is comfortable. We had an easy time splitting the bill with a friend.

Came here on a weekday for dinner; the server did not do anything beyond the confines of his job role, so when we requested removal of the service charge I did not expect the server to become so hostile. To the point where he said to not return for eat in, since he was the manager. Genuinely confused since service charge is discretionary, and we had no rapport with the server as he didn’t even ask whether the food was fine. Don’t think I’d like to return to such a place where the servers don’t even provide above standard service but expect to be compensated.

I stopped by the restaurant this evening around 5 p.m. It had a nice, relaxed vibe, and there were not too many customers around. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious, with quick service to match. I decided to try the Sake Don, which was the perfect portion for one person. They served a generous amount of rice, but I couldn't finish it all. I also ordered some Ikura sushi, which tasted different from what I had before but was tasty. Plum Wine Spritzer was the ideal pairing—refreshing and easy to sip, with just the right amount of alcohol. Overall, everything was great!

Came here on a rainy day and really wanted to have Japanese food. However the menu contains a bit of order sorts of Malaysia food as well, I was always a bit wary because they aren’t focused enough on one type of food. The soft shell crab was super crispy but in a fried way, didn’t really get much texture of the crab inside the fried layer. The tofu salad was really so-so, just tofu with some verges with sesame sauce on top. The Chiraishi Don had seafood on top, but the texture was just fine, nothing much special at all and thin slices. The Miso Ramen also did no justice, wasn’t tasty and lots of flavour inside again. Not freshly made ramen noodles, and felt very instant. The good thing about this place is the food arrives in 5 mins.

The food and flavours are good. Ibe been going to this restaurant in Eing and Chiswick for many years. Unfortunately the quality is going down, it feels like the compamy has reduced the more expensive ingredients and just put more vegetables in and avoided adding the same level of prawns etc. An example of this is the starter chicken in deep fried batter. This was so good before less batter better quality chicken but now the quslity of ingredients is worst. The service is limited. No greetings in the way in and no acknowledgement on the way out yet a 10% service charge added. So i liked this but it is going downhill and they need to arrest this service and food quality prior to this being a place where it isn't worth visiting.

Great atmosphere. Lovely sushi and the hot dishes were also good. Would definitely visit again.

Food is ok but not satisfying. It is not reminding me of Japan. Chicken karage was way too oily. Chicken breast in my ramen was dry.. dumplings were excellent this is why I gave an extra star. Miso soup was very basic. Service: no charm, not friendly, no concern at all “how was your food? was everything ok”. It was a joke when we were charged 10% service charge.
