Been going here for around a year now with my partner. Always a very good experience and staff is very professional and nice towards us. Food is very good and price is also very good. Would recommend for a quite couples meal
Haven’t been here for awhile but very disappointing. Chow mein far too salty, lacked any real flavour and no chicken No sushi based dishes available on a Thursday evening. Salt and pepper ribs were not salty or peppery, just very dry. Singapore friend noodles no flavour - very disappointing. Husband collected and I asked if management had changed and he said yes, should have kept the memory of our last meal!
It was an okay experience The Korean chicken wings were superb Chicken fried rice could be better But will definitely go back to try out something new
The food is amazing and the service is great. After having lunch one afternoon, I forgot my bag in the restaurant. I called a week later to check if it was there. They had kept it safe for me. Everything, including my bank bank card was intact. I'm very grateful to all the staff at Tonbo !!!
Just excellent. I’ve always ordered for delivery and more recently dined in. Food is excellent, fresh, good portions, presented well and packaged well if delivery., very reasonably priced and they have good offers staff are lovely and they accommodated my friends and at v short notice the other night after we were let down at another restaurant. Had a lovely evening and they let us stay past closing, no rush to get us out which was lovely. Highly recommend.
We often order Tonnbo for home delivery. So we thought we'd actually go to Tonnbo to try the lunch time bento in the restaurant. The restaurant is lovely inside, feels relaxing and calm. The quality of the food is excellent not greasy or too salty. It tasted fresh and had a nice balance with nice bits of veg. The guy who served us was friendly and welcoming. We all enjoyed our food and will definitely be back to try more. I ordered the Japanese char siu which was my favourite out of all the dishes we ordered. They also do 50% off some of their sushi on the weekend.
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. As well as Japanese favourites, there are many other lovely dishes such as sweet and sour prawns or chicken and stir fry mixed vegetables. The noodle dishes are tasty and full of flavour. I thoroughly recommend Tonnbo for dine in and takeaway.
Great food! Best sashimi I’ve had in North London! I was just to give it a try as my bf likes sushi and this is a local one. But it is surprisingly good. Wish I’ve had tried it earlier. Sashimi are fresh with a great texture; sushi taste so nice (more amazing that they are 50% off during the weekend!), and we love the decor too. Nice to dine in. I would definitely recommend it and will bring my friends there too.
I ate here and brought some home for a takeaway which was nice. The place is clean with some nice interior design. At my first entry to this restaurant I was greeted by welcoming friendly staff. Their hospitality is good. The very Asian sort that I love and respect. The chicken teriyaki and seafood teriyaki are very delicious. Availabe with extra spicy options. The sashimi was tasty with a range of raw salmon and tuna. The dumplings are motuh watering, it comes with a little tub with a sauce of its own. All of these are super tasty with an enhancement of soy sauce. All delicious. The sushi is quite expensive for such small portions though. I would recommend saving up for special occasions arther than making this regular. Unless can afford to. They have fizzy drinks available inported from Japan which gives it that really nice authentic Japanese feel. Similar to the sort you see in vending machines in Japan. These are the ones with plastic caps you push down and the glass ball pops down to open it. They are pretty cool. I like this place. I will be coming back.
