Really lovely food at decent value. This place should be more busy !! Love how you can see the chefs making the sushi which had interesting flavours that worked really well. Would definitely recommend !!

Food was delightful, the staff were polite, smiling and the chefs were lovely. The best dragon rolls I have EVER had. Best quality salmon. The giant salmon sushi plate was delicious and the house white was a 10/10. Great effort Haku, I had an amazing evening and thank you for the delicious food and service :)!

Went with a group for dinner and was utterly disappointed. The only highlight of the meal was the starters—bao buns and some sushi. The crispy tofu in the bao buns was delightful, and the mango in the sushi added a unique and amazing touch. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We waited over 30 minutes for the mains to arrive, despite the restaurant being less than half full. We had to chase the staff a couple of times, yet with over three chefs in the kitchen, the food still took an unacceptable amount of time. The yakisoba was a major letdown—soggy and reminiscent of a cheap noodle dish made with ketchup. It tasted like a rushed home-cooked meal, lacking any authenticity. The katsu curry was no better, with poorly balanced rice-to-curry proportions. Frankly, a meal at a Wasabi branch would have been more satisfying. Despite the disappointing food and service, we paid the large bill, including a service charge we didn’t contest. However, as a fellow restaurant professional, I would have waived the charge, considering the poor turnaround time and kitchen performance. While our server was kind and polite, the overall experience was abysmal.

A really lovely little restaurant. Very fast service, which is really convenient, and also nice and friendly. The food was all really high quality and although not hugely innovative, it definitely had a nice twist on traditional Japanese cuisine. For example, I’d definitely recommend the Nepalese style gyozas as being uniquely delicious, and I’d really encourage the chefs to even do some more of this lovely fusion! The sushi was also really lovely and high quality, and it was very nice being served directly by the chefs when sitting at the bar. Really nice experience overall with a very reasonable price.

So happy this place exists in Tufnell Park! We stopped by for dinner, intending to get sushi and ended up getting much more. The space is beautiful and welcoming, with an open kitchen so you can see/interact with the chef which was really nice. Everyone was very friendly. In addition to the delicious sushi (I have been searching for a place like this in London!), we tried the gyoza and chicken katsu curry. The curry had a great flavour and wasn’t very spicy. Loved the pickles and onions on the rice, just wished there was more than one potato! For dessert we tried the strawberry cheesecake mochi which was as good as it sounds! Looking forward to coming back soon to try more of the menu, particularly the poke…

Had the pleasure of trying out Haku today, freshly opened in Tufnell Park. One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to! The food was all freshly made and tasted delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent find, hidden away in Tai Pan Alley on Inverness Street. Authentic Japanese cuisine made by a lovely chap, chef Umesh. The gyoza was exceptional but everything else we tried was also great. I would recommend the katsu curry in particular!

Amazing little joint tucked away from all the bustle. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful and for a surprisingly reasonable price. All the staff were excellent and friendly, especially the chef who we had a nice little chat with and its clear he's passionate about his work. Could not recommend this place enough, fantastic!
