   Got it delivered, said it would take 25 mins but took 45. Food was still hot. Delivery driver and person on phone were both lovely. Prawn toast was brilliant, very big pieces with a sauce (OK ?). Loved the egg fried rice and the salt and pepper chicken was amazing. Partner got noodles which he loved, they are the thin ones which I personally don't like. Very well priced, can easily feed 2 people for under £20

   I was recommended this chippy by a friend. Initially, the food was absolutely delicious—it was piping hot and tasted fresh. But unfortunately, things have gone downhill, and I’m not sure what happened. I love a good Chinese meal after a long day at work, but be prepared for a very long wait, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. For collection, they often promise 15-20 minutes over the phone, but it can take over an hour. Delivery times are even worse—they promise 45-60 minutes, but it’s usually over 2 hours. As for the food, it’s just not consistent anymore. I used to love the beef chow mein with the wet sauce, but now it’s a mess. The sauce can either be too thick or too watery, too sweet or too salty—there’s no balance. The salt and pepper box used to be amazing, with massive portions that could easily feed three people. But lately, it’s been disappointing. Sometimes the ribs are burnt and dried out, and the chips are overcooked. The shredded beef and chicken are a definite no—they barely have any meat and just taste like fried batter sticks. To me, this chippy is like flipping a coin—if it lands heads, you’re in for banging food. But if it’s tails, just save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Overall, this chippy has become a miss. If you don’t mind waiting a long time for decent portion sizes and reasonable prices, you could give it a try. But be warned—the food is rarely consistent, and you’ll likely end up with a disappointing meal more often than not.

   Best chippy in the world!!! We do New Year’s Eve party from here. Cheaper than picky bits from super market and NO messing around preparing it. Always have happy guests.

   foods ok but customer service has hit rock bottom for me 40 mins over the 40 min promised time twice and food came wrong when turned up, nice food but not worth the hastle when asking where your food is you actually ordered.

   Sadly the Special Fried rice we had tonight was so disappointing. Just a couple of prawns, no beef and only a few peas. I would rather have paid more for the previous amount of meat and veg rather than the poor quality of what was all fried rice we had tonight, so sad

   Lovely local chippy. Always clean. Staff are friendly and efficient with minimal delay in service. Size of fish has to be seen to be believed and is always well cooked and delicious.
