I went with my mum a few weeks ago and it was our first time going since it changed from Kitty's. While I noticed some things were different the important stuff was the same. The food was great, the service was lovely, and in typical fashion we were so full we needed to take the rest home! The cakes are, as always, incredible and you can tell a lot of effort went into them!

Hi this place was lovely and friendly, the food was also nice. Me and my mum bought 2 breakfasts 2 hot drinks and a cake. It cost £30. The only disappointment was that my 5 year old boy was told he couldn’t eat his packed lunch in there. I understand if we wasn’t buying food there but children only eat what they eat. He was upset. And so we had to buy him something which he didn’t want or like. It’s a shame. We always take a packed lunch for him and he has it wherever we eat, there has never been a problem in other places.

Really nice and friendly place. We turned up at very short notice as a table of 6 adults and 2 children and they managed to accommodate us. Food was lovely, all arrived swiftly and all together. The prices are very reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful, definitely returning.

Nice welcoming coffee shop. Good cake selection and good looking food. Ideal spot by the river to get warm and dry off.

The owners Val and Sam are lovely. Always genuinely interested to see and speak to customers. They hire local people to give them a chance and try to use local produce as much as possible. They are dog friendly and are very accommodating as much as can be around dietary requirements. Been going for years and it feels like visiting friends. Very fair pricing so you can go with family and children.

Lovely cafe, not cramped like some of the other local cafes. Staff very friendly and welcoming, attentive. Food cooked fresh with quality ingredients. Reasonable prices. Clean toilets. Breakfast served til 11:30 am then it’s lunch menu (jacket spuds, paninis etc). A large selection of homemade cakes.

Lovely place! Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, we had a large order with different items and they were all perfect. We will definitely return in the future. Even spotted a heron on the river from the basement!
