Food - We travel over when we can on a Sunday for a beautiful carvery. Great choice of meats, veg cooked to perfection and not boiled to death like many others, super tasty gravy, cracking Yorkshire puddings….. just an all round brilliant carvery. Drinks - Lots to choose from and very friendly well mannered bar staff who are all very efficient. Front of house - Can only imagine they are all as good but we have been VERY well looked after each time we have been in and all by the same brilliant young man. Small, dark hair and bloody brilliant is the best way of explaining him. (We are the couple with the Brown Sprocker who you have sat (not coincidentally) on the same table a couple of times. You are brilliant and there is no other way to describe you. Customer friendly, a great ‘team’ player as we have seen. Your colleagues clearly love your company and efficiency as a team leader. Overall - Just a brilliant place to spend your Sunday. Get welcomed with open arms, spotlessly clean place throughout, fabulous service, awesome food and you should all be very proud of how good you do your jobs, make people feel when they are with you and COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFS AND KITCHEN TEAM FOR BACKING UP ALL THEY DO AT THE FRONT OF HOUSE. Great place, team,L and food. Oh and thanks for making us feel so welcome. See you VERY soon xx

We came here for a breakfast buffet after a dog walk on Sunday morning, and were very well looked after, they are dog freindly with water and treats freely available at no charge, our food was cooked fresh and was lovely, best cooked breakfast I'd had from anywhere else, nice big free carpark and the staff are a delight to talk to, I tend to judge a place ,in no small part , by how clean the toilets are , and I can say that over time the toilets have always been immaculate. They have a function room upstairs that I would definately book If I was looking for one. Top marks.

We stopped off here yesterday for a quick bite to eat and a few drinks. My partner ordered a tuna mayo sandwich with chips and coleslaw. The sandwich came on normal white bread which was surprising as we expected at least a roll or a ciabatta for £9.95. Chips were ok but you don't get many! Staff were polite and helpful, the pub is gorgeous and has so much potential, just need to up their game with the food quality and presentation. We will return as the atmosphere here is nice and relaxed.

Been coming here for past few months for couple of drinks as passing by. Food always smelt good so decided 2 give it a try today & go for Sunday lunch. 1 of the best carvery I've been 2 in a long while. Meat was great and fresh. Beef excellent Turkey great and not dry. Pricing great and staff excellent aswell. Ive been to a fair few carvery and drove 25min jst to try this 1 & wasn't disappointed. Booking was simple on the website and probably would recommend on a Sunday as it cam get busy and if later in evening carvery can run out as expected. Will be back for a mid week evening meal soon. Keep up the great atmosphere and standards nice good places like this becoming hard to find.
