Stopped after a walk. Nice strong tea and coffee. Owner was very pleasant to speak to and had a chat about the state of the world. Good price and speed of service. Recommend.
I have eaten here several times the food is always great. Quick and friendly service and right on our doorstep. We will continue to come here.
Absolutely horrible experience. The staff was rude and annoying. The guy literally asked me "Shall I keep the plate on your head?" He was very insensitive and has no idea how to respect others and their culture. He was making offensive jokes and laughing as if it was funny. He was writing down the orders wrong and when we were correcting, he was blaming us for changing the order. Food was decent but the service was terrible. Would never go again and absolutely never recommend.
We came here for lunch before going out for a walk around new mills. I ordered the scampi and chips which was very nice with homemade chips and my partner had the jacket potato with beans and cheese both meals were nice and good portion sizes. We both had a 7up and a cup of tea and the total bill was £20. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
The image is of the ‘mini mezze’ so you can imagine what the full-size one would be like! Came across this small, quirky (in a good way) bistro by accident and was very impressed. From the banter between the owner and his regulars, it is obviously well-liked and rightly so. When I asked if the toilet was downstairs, he told me I would need 5 £ coins. This gives you a measure of his humour!
Amazing Greek Vegetarian breakfast, Ali couldn't do enough for us and even did our eggs poached when requested and they were wonderful. Will definitely be back. Thank you.
Anyone wanting a lesson in customer service while creating a warm and homely atmosphere should come to this cafe and watch Ali at work. Sadly I'm having to currently abstain from cafe favourites...a shame because the Full English here looks fantastic..but was really pleased to find Meze and Salads on the menu. New Mills is a lovely place...but can be a bit cakey..so to have a Greek Salad with Grilled Lamb and a Mint Tea was a real treat. After working in the area for a week I've only eaten elsewhere when there have been no tables free..and in future, frankly I think I'd wait for a seat instead. A big thank you to Ali and team.

It's a bit of a drive away for us, but we come here whenever we're up this way! Lovely service, delicious food and great atmosphere! A very happy place to get some food!
