Let's say that if I lived in theare me and my girlfriend would most definitely weight a few more stones/Kgs. As well as the food it is cosy, attentive stuff, quick enough service (to not make you think they want you out of the door) definitely a must try.... Book of you can as space is limited.”

“Another terrific trip to Gladstone. It was my wife’s birthday and she had specifically requested a family meal to enjoy the epic Sunday Roasts on offer here. Hannah was attentive throughout our visit and gave excellent service. The food was amazing with great portions and excellent quality overall. The Sticky Toffee Pudding sadly defeated me.. We look forward to another trip in the future.”

“We had a dinner at this restaurant. It was a delicious meal and a very pleasant evening. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was very relaxing, all the guests around us looked happy. The restaurant was well designed, very cosy and elegant. All the dishes were beautifully served and delicious. We were even offered a freebie, appetiser, before our meals. We were very pleased that we found this restaurant and definitely would recommend it. I also liked very much Black Sheep Ale.”

“I’ll start my review by saying that I’ve eaten at all the so called ‘best Indian Restaurants’ locally and to be fair there are a few good ones but often victims of their own success. However, in my opinion, Spice Bistro is up there amongst the best and from the meals I’ve eaten, it is by far the best Indian Restaurant around the Tameside and Glossop area. The meat they serve is so very tender, full of flavour and simply melts in your mouth and this is complimented by the curry sauces which have so much flavour they make you drool. The portion sizes are exceptional because they are thick and not full of oil or watery sauce and if you order a takeaway the foil container is full to the top. I can’t compliment the quality of the food enough…….it is that good. As a side note, the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and chatty but most important they are humble and respectful and this creates a happy vibe around the restaurant. If you have not eaten here before, believe me it will become your no. 1 go to restaurant for a curry. The cost of a curry from here is similar to a kebab from a takeaway and my only regret is that I haven’t eaten from here more often. The restaurant is not the biggest in the world but that’s a bonus as it allows the staff to look after their customers and give them an enjoyable experience. I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough!”

“Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.”

“I came in with my granddaughter last week, and I must say, the food was exceptional! Upon walking into the establishment, it felt as if we were transported to New York. As a proud American, I must say I felt right at home! My granddaughter, on the other hand—who is very hard to impress—took her time, but by the time the food arrived, her demeanor had changed. We ordered the Benny's Burger, the schnitzel wrap, and the sweet potato chips. I have to mention that my granddaughter did not make the life of the young lady at the till easy. With the number of notes my granddaughter gave for her schnitzel wrap, I was sure she would be laughed at by our server. Instead, we were met with kind responses, smiles, and absolutely no issues. The food came out very quickly, and all three items we ordered were presented exquisitely! Every note was followed perfectly. The service was probably the best I have experienced in this otherwise abysmal country. I come to England at least twice a year from New York to visit my children and grandkids. I try to give each one time alone with me so I can give each the attention they deserve. My son had mentioned that there was a splendid restaurant I had to try; he has ordered Uber delivery from you a few times. I truly recommend the dine-in experience! I will definitely be returning the next time I come to visit the kids. (I do apologize, as I had intended to share the photographs that were taken. But sadly, only my granddaughter took photos—she has the better phone and therefore the better camera—and she seems to be taking her time sending them to me.)”

“We have ordered breakfast for delivery from here a number of times now and I can honestly say it’s the best we’ve had in a long time, every single time we haven’t been disappointed. Food is piping hot when it arrives and is beautifully presented you can tell the staff take pride in their food and service. The little touches make such a difference and the staff write little messages on the boxes and receipts saying thank you, or enjoy etc. Will definitely be visiting in person at some point.”

“Food and Thorn Bistro, led by Nicky and her wonderful team, catered our end-of-year team lunch and delivered directly to our offices in Piccadilly, Manchester. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The quality of the food was fantastic, beautifully presented, incredibly flavourful, and clearly prepared with great care. Every dish not only tasted amazing but looked spectacular, taking our event to the next level and making it a truly special occasion. Nicky was an absolute delight to work with. Her professionalism, warm communication, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless. The delivery and service were exceptional, and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We will definitely be choosing the Food and Thorn team again in the future. “Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”

“Terrific place. Would definitely go again. The food was fabulous with perhaps one of the best Sunday Roasts I have ever had. My appetiser was a bit underwhelming and I don't think it was appropriately described on the menu but the main more than made up for it. It's a bit on the pricier side vs a pub roast but the quality is there. Service was very good too. A solid 9/10 overall.”
