Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.

It was our first visit, although our dining partners had been many times with their family. The food was delicious and unusual, mainly vegetarian and our dining partners are veggie but we love meat so we had a few small plates which we shared & then we had the Lamb shoulder & they had the Stonebass both were beautifully cooked & presented. Now it’s not cheap, but where is these days. But at least the food was delicious so you don’t mind paying more.

Had a lovely meal here every plate we tried was amazing. Stand out dishes were the fish and tiramisu, will be back again to try the winter menu!

We were really disappointed with our meal here, despite all the good reviews on here. It’s been on our list to go since it opened and the food was just ok :( and it would have been fine if it wasn’t for the outrageous prices - £400+ (not including the tip) for 5 people to have lunch with 3 alcoholic drinks and 1 non alcoholic. For these type of prices for lunch we were expecting something amazing and I don’t think that’s ridiculous to say. The food was beautiful I’ll give you that, as you see on the photos, and the halibut (in a sauce with samphire) was very good but that’s about it. Everything was under seasoned, and we were especially disappointed with the char siu pork which seemed like the pork had been boiled? (The lamb also taste weirdly watery) The oysters were also extremely fishy, either cuz they were not fresh or the lardo+sauce made it very fishy, and I love a good oyster so this was quite sad to have started the meal with. The place was also very cold It was a mild day and our whole table were freezing and no where near the door, so maybe layer up. This has been a rather negative review on the food mainly, but I will say the service was lovely and seamless. So perhaps some more thought should be put into the food.

An excellent 3 course Sunday lunch, really enjoyed by all 3 of us. Sad that it's taken us 2 years to find this superb local restaurant that is rated in the top 50 in the UK for Sunday Lunch by the Good Food Guide - and very well deserved. Solidly highly rated here - with good cause. As for the reviewers saying it was too expensive - well - if you are sourcing top quality local ingredients, then this will understandably cost more. And given the effort put into each item on the plate, it is actually a bargain compared to most boil-in-the-bag establishments which may be cheaper. If you want quality and supporting local businesses, then this is the place to come. You won't regret it. Solid 5 star all round.

Such a lovely experience, it was absolutely delicious and busy for a good reason. The presentation of the food was beautiful and tastes incredible! Very New York and cosmopolitan vibe! 100% recommend! Food was perfect, couldn’t fault it. It’s creative, looks beautiful and makes you want to try the entire menu, our table service was excellent and attentive, and we had the chance to catch the owner briefly at the end, it was nice to hear it from a personal side. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you :)

My husband and I had a fabulous night at Fold. The bar staff were very welcoming and helped us decide on a wine to have with our meal. Georgia our waitress was lovely and informative. We really enjoyed the tapas style British cuisine, well thought out menu. Not only did the food taste great it looked amazing too.

Absolutely fantastic food, some of the dishes are so interesting. The restaurant itself has a really lovely atmosphere and Freya (who served us) was so great and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. We will be back!

Gorgeous interior. Friendly and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Fantastic selection of wine, beer and cocktails. The food is beyond lovely. High end small plates served in such a beautiful way. Definitely worth a visit. Very pleased to have this new addition in Marple Bridge.
