“Love this place! The food is amazing: freshly prepared and cooked, awesome quality ingredients-doubt you'd find a better quality fry up anywhere else locally, epic portion sizes too! The decor is truly unique. From Only Fools and Horses quotes and pictures to old hats, guitars and vinyls up on the walls. You'll struggle to not spot something new each time you visit. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All in all, my favourite way to start the weekend is a Jester's breakfast!”

This plate makes a strong first impression. The steak looks beautifully seasoned, with a generous crust of cracked pepper and a nice sear that suggests it was cooked on high heat to lock in flavor. The sides are inviting and well-balanced. The roasted potatoes look crisp and golden, while the mixed vegetables — broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots — bring color and a healthier counterpoint to the richness of the steak. They appear roasted rather than steamed, which gives them a more flavorful, caramelized finish. The sauce served in a small metal boat adds an elegant restaurant-style presentation. Its creamy texture hints at a peppercorn based sauce. A glass of beer in the background completes the meal perfectly.”

“Always a great atmosphere and Andrew never disappoints with his monthly specials menu. Last night we enjoyed the Wednesday steak night which is fantastic value for money at £16 for a rump steak , chips , mushrooms, tomatoes and a medium glass of red wine. All served by the staff who enjoy working there .”

“En route home from London to the north we picked a random town and went for breakfast. The cafe was empty but the staff were cheerful and attentive and we ordered, sausage egg and bacon barm and a full breakfast. The food was delicious and fresh and the lovely dognat the table next to us was hoping for a treat. We also had a chocolate brownie which was a mix of gooey and crispy We definitely picked a winner.”

“Beautiful, satisfying and delicious comfort food and friendly staff. What more could you ask for? The service is efficient but not pushy. The prices are on the higher side but well worth it and no more expensive than the average prices anyway. There are choices for veggies too. I took the mushroom gnocchi with red pesto and cream sauce topped with parmesan and it was gorgeous.”

Very professional, arrived on time and were set up and cooking very quickly and even changed the pizza to be a smaller size to suit the event. We had lots of comments saying how delicious the pizza was and we would definitely book again!”
