“Dropped in with my Dad on Sunday for a cuppa but ended up having a breakfast each as well. The food was excellent all made from local tasty ingredients. The service was lovely and super friendly. Could not fault it and will defiantly be returning. It was a pleasure to spend our time and money at this establishment. So if you’re in the area give it a try you will not be disappointed. 5 stars all round Guys… thankyou”
“Delicious home cooked food. Exceptional value for 3 course lunch, only £22.50. Service was so friendly and professional. Top marks”
“Great, friendly atmosphere with delicious food and drink. Will definitely return.”
“This place is a gem. Food is fantastic and worth the money, all cooked fresh. For anyone local or further afield make this a stop off point when going for a walk around Attenborough, look carefully on your maps and you will find a twitchel that brings you out opposite the Bistro from near the Trent circular walk. Well done to all involved.”
“My family members and I have been here more than a few times. Every time we go, we always enjoy our time there. The food and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and cosy, and the service is always friendly. I definitely recommend paying a visit here ☺️”

“Great breakfast with really quick and friendly service. Well priced and it was apparent the ingredients were kocaly sourced and or home made, proper sausages, home made hash browns and beautiful thick cut bacon.”
“We were going to a family funeral and had driven for nearly 4 hours. No5 was a lovely haven of rest in the hour or so before we went to the crem. We weren't very hungry so had the fishcakes, wild mushrooms and beetroot with goat's cheese. Each dish was excellently cooked and tasty. The glass of merlot was very good too. Service excellent. Thanks.”
“Really nice lunch catching up with my friend. From start to finish the service by Maja was spot on, we were warmly welcomed and led to our table, drinks arrived quickly followed by delicious food. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good quality lunch in Nottingham!”
“This is our first time ordering from this Indian takeaway, but OMG!!! The food is absolutely gorgeous. Never had an Indian that is more perfect. The flavours are to die for. Thank you. Absolutely delicious and can't wait to order again. They also said over the phone, 40 to 50 mins. Theu got here in just over 20 mins xxxx”

“Had a very warm and welcoming evening. We were served by Evie who was attentive and so friendly. The food and service was incredible considering we visited on a Saturday! Great team - thank you!”
“Lovely place off the beaten track. The baked potatoes were great and such good value. Nice decaf coffee. Spacious outside seating area but, smaller space inside. Not busy on a cooler day. Service was good and friendly staff.”
“Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant.. one person on our table has a severe allergy to nuts, and the staff were amazing. They called her before hand to ensure she had a meal that was “safe”. We also had a gluten free and vegetarian in our party and the staff where happy to stand and to though the menu with us. Thought out the night they kept coming to check on us, answering questioned we had regarding food and drink. - Food was lovely and the music was right up our street. Lillian is an asset to bistro live. Although she was working she just matched the vibe of our table, even coming over at the end of her shift to say good bye and told me to enjoy my night…”

“Lovely lunchtime visit, bit slow at the checkout, but overall very nice experience. Combine this with a leisurely stroll around the garden centre and yes..... most pleasant.”
“I had the big breakfast, perfectly cooked with ingredients from the local butchers shop. Added bonus for me was the tinned tomatoes instead of fresh, which I very much prefer. I will definitely be back.”

“Fabulous little venue with tasty food and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to cafe roya, it was my sister’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special. Really appreciate small venues like this that have staff who make you feel welcome and comfortable in their restaurant. All dishes were super fresh and tasty making me want to come back for more and work my way through the menu. Along with their brilliant staff and food they make stunning cocktails which again , you can’t stop at just the one! Can’t wait to visit again, very tempted by the sound of the lunch menus!”
“We were dropping our son to the University of Nottingham end of September and stumbled upon Compà in Beeston on our first night of arrival. It was our son’s suggestion and we decided to check it out! I am so glad we did! The food was delicious and it was like visiting a family - cosy, warm ambiance and pretty lights inside that made it feel festive and special on a week night. We were pretty tired after flying from US to London, than taking a train to Nottingham the next morning so it was especially nice to sit down and take time to enjoy this place, yummy food while we planned next few days. We stroke a conversation with the owner who turned out to be such a wonderful kind person and it made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. It was a lovely experience and a warm welcome. Would highly recommend! Moments like this make sweet memories and have special place in my heart. Grateful for discovering this restaurant and meeting Angela. Many thanks!”
“I love this restaurant! A must visit! The service is so good with friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The food absolutely incredible! Cannot wait to go back already!”
“Visited for the brunch and was not disappointed! As the menu was only small we tried everything (except the oysters as they were unavailable) and enjoyed it all. Restaurant is lovely and light on a sunny day too.”
“Paul and I go back a long way (1998 seeing as though you asked!) and I've loved watching his business grow. This place is at the very heart of my culinary journeys back to the UK - I grew up in Bottesford, it's calling brings me back every few years and whenever I'm back I visit here - the food is divine, the location superb, the ambience and staff first class. We celebrated with great friends and as usual seemed to be the last to leave, but that's fine; we're like a Labrador, overly friendly, always hungry but very well behaved! 10/10 Paul and team. xx”
“Fabulous little bistro. Great food, stunning presentation and good value for money.”
