I went a few days ago to Browns with my family and had a wonderful experience. My waitress was the lovely Anna-Maria who never disappoints. The first time she was our waitress we had to Come back because of her amazing hospitality skills. I ordered the baked scallops and the sea bass and they were delicious, will definitely be coming back

Very busy over Christmas but I couldn't fault the guy serving us, very friendly and helpful..We did however nearly lose our table when I had called to say we'd be 10 mins late .. it was so busy people were waiting for any drop outs. Food was tasty and well presented

Every time I go here I cannot fault the food and service. Went last night which was so busy with Christmas not far away but still got amazing service from a young lad. He was super attentive and a natural at his job so well done. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. I had the chicken schnitzel with salad and it was really tasty. The chicken was an amazing golden colour as cooked perfectly. I had the rhubarb and cinnamon crumble and my friend had the tiramisu which were both delicious. As we were celebrating my birthday they also gave me an extra desert which was salted caramel profiteroles with cream and a strawberry. Loved the profiteroles which are from the festive menu. I cannot recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back.

Really nice lunch catching up with my friend. From start to finish the service by Maja was spot on, we were warmly welcomed and led to our table, drinks arrived quickly followed by delicious food. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good quality lunch in Nottingham!

We visited Browns Nottingham on Saturday evening for a family meal. The table was ready for us and the staff promptly got us drinks. Despite it was a very busy evening we didn't wait long for our meals. All meals we wanted were available. The staff was very attentive to our suggestions and allergy restrictions, they were very helpful with ordering the meals in the context of information about calorie intake etc. The food was absolutely amazing! It was fresh, the portions were generous and the meals were full of flavour. The desserts were good too however not overly. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I didn't get our waiter's name who did absolutely amazing job making our evening even better. Nothing we asked for seemed a problem to him. It's a very stylish place, cosy and elegant, with lots of pictures of Nottingham which makes it even more special. There are lots of tables but itya busy place so I would recommended bookig a table if you don't want to be disappointed. The only downside was noise. Unfortunately it sounded like in beehive, it was hard to carry on the conversation at the table as we couldn't hear each other. Also, with such a great quality of food, they should think about serving better coffee than Lavazza as it lowers the standards a little bit.

It was a terrific breakfast experience! After we entered, we went to the reception counter and we were seated quickly. The decoration in the restaurant is stunning! The whole place radiates elegance. The menu was distilled, easy to read through without comprimising on the number of breakfast options. We selected the eggs royale and the vegan breakfast. They were very delicious. The order process was well thought-out. Staff were accomodating and speedy. They also inquired about food allergies! We have no qualms whatsoever about recommending Browns Nottingham to anyone!

Lovely breakfast, pleasant setting, polite staff. Adding a service charge to a simple breakfast for 2 was a bit of a liberty as service wasn't overly impressive or speedy, but, that's more of a comment than a complaint.

Attending Browns for a Christmas Dinner with my wife. Tldr: The food was fantastic, but the atmosphere was lacking and the live music timing was moved. We have attended Browns a few times before over the years for different events and decided for it as the Christmas date night for my wife and I. We specifically booked after 7 on a Sunday as we were told that live music would be played after that time and we wanted that ambience (we have been before when piano music was playing). When we got there we found that the live music had ended at 7, so we had booked later for no reason. Instead of the quiet and romantic evening we planned, the venue was very very bright, loud music was playing and although the staff were attentive we felt it lacking. The wine was very expensive for what it was (you expect a 40 quid bottle to be more than 1 year old and not a screw top, at least), and looked, smelled, and tasted like a 7 quid bottle from Tesco. The food was amazing, we had the festive menu and it was splendid. The portion sizes were good too. I would mark it 6/10 for the night we expected. But we may return if loud and bright is needed (like a friends night out meal for example) but definitely not a romantic time.

We went here for afternoon tea. Unfortunately, their website only allows you to book a table, and not say what you are coming for. This meant that we were given evening meal menus and a too small table. This was sorted, and we told them what teas we wanted. Unfortunately, the only leaf tea that they had available was Earl Gray. They had no supplies if the leaf English Breakfast Tea. The tea was a little slow in arriving, and we had all finished it before the sandwiches, cakes & scones arrived. It was at this stage that the waitress realised that it wouldn't fit on our table and we had to move. The quality of the tea (food & drink) was excellent. The quantity was just right, and the mix of flavours perfect. My only other comment was that we asked for water and were not given the option of tap or bottled. We only noticed later that most of the other tables had carafes of tap water on them, with lemon. We were given plenty of time, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was wonderful. When we got the bill, I was surprised to see that a 20% Service Charge had been added. I would certainly recommend Brown's for Afternoon Tea.
