Was in Nottingham this week and had lunch there. I had crispy chicken for starters, which was amazing. The flavours were on point. The main was a bit disappointing after the crispy chicken. Halibut was a bit overcooked and a bit dry but definitely fresh. The pineapple dessert was amazing. Love their non-achoholic drinks so much! Such a pity that they are closing. I'm glad i could taste their dishes.

Everything was excellent as always. Been visiting since they opened. Fantastic over the last 24 years. My absolute favourite place in Nottingham for lunch, dinner, occasions with family & friends. Absolutely gutted, will be missed! Dan, John & all the team are & have been legends over the years. Glad we got to go one last time. So very sad, I know it was a very difficult decision. Good luck & all the best to you all! ❤️

We were fully content with the dishes we had in World Service restaurant. We loved its ambience which set the tone for the overall dining experience. The fillet of beef was utterly delicious which is not an overstatement. Butternut squah terrine was creative and varied. As a side dish we also ordered triple cooked chips with smoked garlic and parmesan. I am not a big fan of chips in general however that one caught my attention and I enjoyed every single piece. Portions are tiny here as they are in most fine-dining restaurants. The only thing we did not like was the concept of service charge. It does not allow for an individual reward which might be a higher percentage point that the service charge itself. Yet, the overall culinary experience was worth it!

Had a wonderful evening last week for my Mums Birthday. The service was absolutely phenomenal and especially by John! We can’t thank you and the team enough for making her day extra special and with the added touch of the Birthday candle at the end! The good was amazing and exceeded my Mum’s expectations with being her first fine dining experience. We will definitely be back!

Not been for a few years but wanted to try it again. Great welcome and had a cocktail while choosing dinner from the menu. All the way through the meal had great service, the food was great, small portions but enough and really tasty and presented well. I said small but I could not manage a dessert.

What a wonderful experience we had at the World Service Restaurant. When entering, the staff greet you with warmth and welcome. The bar area is lovely and very comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding (apart from the deserts - which weren’t to my taste but my partner loved them) and the service alike. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Superb very tasty food. As can be seen from the photographs, the food is beautifully served on plates with large rims. You might think the portions at first glance are small, but in fact the size is just right, especially if you add the well cooked vegetables, including delicious broccoli and chunky chips with Parmesan cheese and truffle. The carrot cake for dessert was light and just the right way to finish the meal.

Went for my birthday. It was a good experience. The food is pretty good, but not super satisfied for the price I paid for it. We ordered from the fixed price menu and for my starter I ordered the velouté soup, which I found to be the best part of the entire meal. It was such a good consistency and the taste was perfectly creamy but the right amount of tangy at the same time, and the corn adding to the richness of it. For my main I got the stone bass, which was satisfactory but not the best. The fish was well cooked but a little soggy, and the potatoes were well done but I was hoping for there to be more fish than potatoes on the plate. The sauce was the best part of the main. It was rich and good and pretty yum. On the side, we got a 50/50 mash, which was ... well mashed potatoes with nothing. Lastly, for the desert, I got a slice of carrot cake and that definitely made for a nice ending to the meal and the evening, but it was more of a 'good homemade quality' than a 'Michelin star worthy' cake.

Great service, tasty cocktails. The bread brought before the starters were delicious with the butter. Meals were flavourful and extremely well presented. We had the chefs selection of deserts which we enjoyed. The interior design was very cool.
