Food was of good quality and tasty, but portions were not particularly large for the price. We were there on a Monday evening from about 6.15 so my comment on the atmosphere was based on that, I cannot say about other days and times. The restaurant was chilly however, there seemed to be limited, if any, heating on. Waiter was attentive, and checked in with us to make sure the food was Ok, and whether we needed anything.

We were dropping our son to the University of Nottingham end of September and stumbled upon Compà in Beeston on our first night of arrival. It was our son’s suggestion and we decided to check it out! I am so glad we did! The food was delicious and it was like visiting a family - cosy, warm ambiance and pretty lights inside that made it feel festive and special on a week night. We were pretty tired after flying from US to London, than taking a train to Nottingham the next morning so it was especially nice to sit down and take time to enjoy this place, yummy food while we planned next few days. We stroke a conversation with the owner who turned out to be such a wonderful kind person and it made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. It was a lovely experience and a warm welcome. Would highly recommend! Moments like this make sweet memories and have special place in my heart. Grateful for discovering this restaurant and meeting Angela. Many thanks!

Bit disappointed, not what I expected. Food took a long time to come out of the kitchen. Could understand if they were busy. Dishes served were very poor and expensive. Staff friendly and helpful but not sure about their current menu and standard of food. Waited half an hour for - £6.95 the special two small spring onions wrapped in Pancetta? Don't mind paying the price if the food warrants it. Also think 10% service charge is a bit off. Don't like being negative but someone's gotta say it. Not gonna post any more pics of food. Try for yourself. I maybe fussy. Good luck anyway.

Amazing menu of mouth-watering snacks and desserts. The food is authentic, fresh and made with love :) Loved the Sicilian atmosphere and above all, wonderful staff! I left the cafe with a smile and willingness to try all the dishes

Visited for the grand opening and was not disappointed! The arancine were wonderfully crispy. I also had a slice of baked cassata to take away - it is hefty!! and very reasonably priced. I will be back to have more of the dessert offerings.
