“The waitress Laura was exceptionally professional and an excellent advisor—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful in guiding our choices. Her recommendations made the experience truly enjoyable. Sophie and Fabien from switzerland”
“Excellent mince and tatties (mashed potatoes) with skirlie (oatmeal stuffing) and perfectly cooked vegetables.”
“Great coffee shop very friendly with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Just up from market square with great sandwiches and choice of drinks. The scones and cakes looked great but did not try them this time”
“Great venue, fab staff with great local vegan options. We love coming here and visit every time we’re in Banchory now! Loved their vegan tasting menu evening.”
“Had a wonderful experience here celebrating my mum's birthday with the family. From the moment we walked in, every single member of staff was attentive, kind and provided outstanding service. They made the experience extra special with decorations and singing happy birthday. We will definitely be back. Couldn't recommend it more.”
“l always stay at the Malmaison when I am in Aberdeen, and the experience is always very pleasant. The hotel has great rooms which are nicely decorated. Nice bathrooms too. Their breakfast is good. The location is another positive and the staff are wonderful. Great value for money.”
“We ordered the special afternoon tea to be delivered for a family birthday and my goodness it was really special, beautifully presented on porcelain platters and all of the food was delicious. I would definitely use them again and recommend.”
“Soup of the day just like at home, chocolate brownie looked a little dry on the outside, but don't judge a book by it's cover....lovely and meltie-chocolaty once opened up :) Espresso just as it should be. Price perhaps a little on the high side, but if you enjoyed what you had, if the staff were really friendly, and if the atmosphere made you feel good, then everything is good.”
“1st visit for afternoon tea. Lovely afternoon. Food was amazing and the staff were wonderful. Look forward to returning soon.”
“Had a celebratory lunch for my wife’s birthday with family. The food was lovely and very good service, despite it being extremely busy as there was a huge event taking place nearby (Tall Ships Race)”
“Finally got a chance to try this fab spot don't miss out! I entered the restaurant greeted by smiles and was seated promptly. The decor is really cool and works very well with the theme of the place. My friends were running late but the servers made sure to continuously ask me for drinks and were very friendly and welcoming. We had the Oysters, Cullen Skink, Seafood and Shellfish Linguine and Pan Seared Sea Bass. My personal favourite was the Cullen Skink it makes u feel right at home and the flavours were just mind blowing. The portion size was also very generous leaves you feeling full. We had the lunch menu which allowed us 2 courses for £22.95 which is a real steal for the fresh food and great service you receive. The food was a whole new experience for me having never really tried seafood but I will definitely be back after this experience.”
“Stayed here overnight prior to flying back to to the states. Staff went out of there way to make sure my wife and I had a great stay - from the dinner off room everything was perfect.”
“Been here a number of times of the past couple of years and never been disappointed. The menu has something for everyone, with good hearty meals. Service has always been super, with friendly attentive staff.”
“Delicious Christmas Tea, very gracious and professional wait staff, accommodating our every request. The room we were in was the Balmoral Suite, historically significant because Princess Alexandra stayed in this very room when the weather kept the royals from reaching Balmoral Castle. Our visit to Aberdeen has been the highlight of our retirement so far. Stunningly impressive buildings and streets. Staying at the Caledonian Mercure hotel was definitely a great choice!”
“Food excellent, lovely surroundings and friendly staff.thoroughly recommend.”
“Booked this hotel because of close proximity to the theatre. Very impressed with the room. We stayed in the "Gordon Suite", which was a large room overlooking Union Terrace gardens. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely high ceilings. Check-in was very efficient. Ecxcellent location being just a short walk after the show at the theatre. Had a few drinks in the hotel bar afterwards and lovely breakfast in the morning.”
“Good food and service. Very welcoming and clean environment.”
“Had 2 lattes yesterday at this lovely shop. The coffee is excellent and the couple who run it are delightful. The gentleman gave us very useful information about the area”
“This was my second visit to Aberdeen and also my second time at Cafe Harmony. It’s a place where you truly feel at home. The food is both high in quality and generous in quantity, the atmosphere is cozy and tranquil, and the service from the manager and team is exceptional. I ordered the mushroom risotto and calamari, and both were fantastic. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable. If you ever visit Aberdeen, don’t miss out on Cafe Harmony—highly recommended!”
“Amazing service and delicious food! Such a friendly team in Toucan, it feels like you're visiting family! Everything on the menu is delicious, and there are regular specials which never disappoint. The Coffee Bon Bon is an absolute treat, condensed milk, coffee and cream! The bakes are also amazing, I think this might have been the best cake I've ever had. Thank you to the lovely team!”
“This was my 5th visit for Sunday Lunch and it did not disappoint, in fact actually exceeded my expectations, this must be the tastiest Roast Beef Lunch in Aberdeen and the Shire … having tried numerous at various restaurants. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. A must for anyone looking to treat themselves!!”
“The food is great. Please go. Friday night and very quiet, but we had a lovely cocktail, nice bottle of wine, and delicious food. Staff are lovely.”
“I really love the concept of this place – it’s simply brilliant. There’s plenty of space with cozy seating areas and tables, and the breakfast is great. The baked goods are delicious, and I especially appreciate the wide selection of organic products you can also take home. I felt very welcome here and the vibe among the staff was relaxed and friendly. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable.”
“Amazing experience from here. We tried their Korean fried chicken, which was the right sauce on top and covered with perfectly cooked chicken inside. Also tried their beef Bulgogi, which was thin slices of beef, marinated in their sauce for 24 hours! Excellent food, friendly staff as well. We will definitely go back to try other food items from their menu ❤️”
“A great place for food and drinks in Aberdeen. Friendly staff and great service. The ambiance is really good. The only small thing is that it was a bit noisy but hey it's great to see places busy and filled with people.”
“Absolutely lovely restaurant. The food was excellent, with experimental flavour and texture combinations which worked very well. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'd definitely suggest making a reservation beforehand, as the space is limited.”
“Fabulous vibe, food and the most lovely attentive staff .. well done, Jay!”
