“Such a delightful find. The owner was so welcoming, happy and friendly. The food is all cooked fresh on site and made to order. I had Scampi and my wife had a burger. Both were delicious! This place just makes me happy, it is run with thoughtfulness, generosity and care.”

“Came here as someone had commented how good it was when he unfortunately had broken down nearly and we like to support local businesses. We had a great visit, the young man serving was very attentive and friendly, the food was extremely tasty and great portions and the whole place was clean and tidy, a nice relaxed and warm atmosphere. “What a beautiful little place, it was a hot day and they had air conditioning. Me and my friends went for a evening food and drinks. The service was fantastic and we all had a main and dessert and even for the price the quality of food was excellent and size portion was good. “Stylish, clean accommodation. Appreciated the room upgrade. Good facilities, great bathroom. Parking on street. Staff friendly, didn't eat, but cocktails in bar were well made and good value. However, for two night stay we only received £10 Gregg's voucher for breakfast. £2.50, not even sufficient for coffee and a roll. Please will the owners of the Bistro realise they could upgrade to a realistic value. Or maybe send customers to local cafes and thereby support local businesses. Maybe this could be reflected when booking i.e. an optional upgrade when booking online? Feel sure it would make the whole experience nearer the 100% I'm sure you all want and deserve.”

“Great staff and great surroundings. Ideal for a coffee and cake or a meal. Situated just at the top of the hill if your walking from the seafront. Borders onto the children's play park for added convenience.”

“An authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Bridgend. Loved this little gem! Experienced a lovely family meal here with the in-laws and the service was on point. Could not have wished for better service. They were outstanding! Started with some great cocktails and moved on to apprises and main meals. Loved the pizza, chicken parm and the sea-bream. Their lunch time menus is great value for money.”

“Went here for brunch date with the hubby at 11am. They gave us both the breakfast and lunch menus to choose from. We chose sandwiches from the lunch menu and soup of the day which was honestly so good! Price is very good. We had an amazing experience.”

“Went here recently for a vegan afternoon tea, and was absolutely blown away! We booked in advance and went as a group, and were treated to some absolutely delicious treats! Sandwiches, tea, scones, iced custard slices, cupcakes - we were thoroughly spoiled! I'll definitely be back.”

We always love the food and service is consistently brilliant, however today in particular was really busy, but Lille was attentive, kind and was still smiling and chatty despite the rush. “This was delicious! I had the Stilton & Asparagus Pie which was amazing. The pastry was flaky and crispy, it came with peas and gravy and you could choose the potato type. I chose rustic chips and they may be the nicest chips I’ve ever had! The staff are so friendly and can’t help you enough. The car park can be a bit difficult to find, it’s around the back of the venue, up Greenwood Lane (it says it’s a dead end but you turn off into the car park). Make sure to put your number plate in when you get into the venue!”

“Beautiful cosy place with great music and delicious food. We came to celebrate our first anniversary; Jamila was our lovely host who looked after us thoroughly, giving us lovely food and drink recommendations. Service was well paced for us to savour our small plates, we especially enjoyed the potatoes with onion and sage aioli. The devilled eggs and bacala were also fantastic. Lottie has to be one of the best chefs in Cardiff - Thanks guys for a wonderful evening!!!”

“Came in with a few of my friends this past weekend, really great vibe and energy here. We made the most of the two cocktails for £14 and had a couple of cocktails, Pina Coladas, Lemon Sours, Hugo Spritz and two Brambles, which are pictured. They all tasted great and were made at the bar just in front of us so we could see the making process. We shared a few sides off the menu, the truffle fries and tenderstem broccoli between us, which also came out quickly, they were really nice and would order again. One of the waitresses was kind enough to take our picture there, 10/10 would return again for a proper sit down meal.”
