Thursday 6pm booking, so not busy yet. Tasty garlicky snails to start, Chateaubriand was melt in the mouth ( rare) and Crepe Suzette tender and delicious. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. There were a few dishes not available and there was no brandy which was a minor disappointment but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I very rarely eat out on a Sunday, but when I do I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Superb food cooked to perfection, and served by efficient friendly staff. Can’t fault anything, the quality and quantity of the food is spot on.

What absolutely terrible customer service!! The owner of this place is really a piece of work: Booked recently for a table of 6. For separate reasons two couples were unable to make the booking, leaving myself and my partner. I contacted by email a few days before the booking to communicate this, but to express that we would like to still come as a table of 2. Was given a fairly rude response stating there would be a £20pp charge in future for failure to fulfil a booking, and that the booking time would need to be changed by an hour for their inconvenience. Never mind, we turned up 10 minutes before the rearranged time on the night, only to be told that it was cash only because the card readers were down. These things happen, but I explained to the young staff member politely that I would need to go back to my car and drive home to get my wallet so I could get cash out as we’d both foolishly not brought bank cards. My partner at this point was fairly annoyed as that was going to take 20-30 minutes, and respectfully said words to the effect of “could you not at least throw in a couple of complementary drinks for the inconvenience”. The young lad looked startled and went to ask in the kitchen. The response from ‘the boss’ apparently was “no, because we’ll just give the table to someone else”. We looked around in disbelief, was there anyone even sitting at any tables? The place was quiet to say the least. At this point we explained to the young chap, thanks but no thanks, town was dead and we’d take a chance elsewhere. A simple courtesy email to let us know we’d need to bring cash would have avoided any of this, especially as we’d already been in touch via email that very week. Later that night, after a lovely meal with exceptional customer service at a nearby establishment, we were laughing about it with my mother who had been babysitting for us when I noticed an email from Morgan’s: “please note that all bookings placed under this name will not be accepted in future”. Wow, what a guy!! If only you’d been that quick to email us about the card readers being down this whole debacle could have been avoided. You aren’t THAT good that you can take potential customers for granted. Avoid if you can, the food is decent (from past experience) but the customer service and atmosphere is abysmal.

Went here for food and Christmas drinks with my daughter. We were seated at the back. It was cold and dark and a staff member was sweeping the floor in front of us. The food was cold. The mash arrived 10 mins before the rest of the food and the beans in the bourguigon was hard. We sent our food back to be reheated. Food tasteless. Will not be returning.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and we had the lunch time menu. Steak was a lovely cut and cooked to our liking. Added extras that were also lovely and plenty to share. The service was excellent will be going back

My daughter chose the venue as she thought that it was pretty from the outside for her 10th birthday, she was not wrong!, such a lovely clean and well decorated establishment with really friendly and helpful staff, the food was brilliant. We shall defiantly be returning and I would highly recommend a visit.

Really nicely designed restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Lots of classic French options including snails, frogs legs and onion soup. Four veggie mains, so something for most tastes. It would be nice to see some more vegetables on the sides menu. Good addition to the Bridgend food scene.
