Booked the carvery for the family to get together. Unbelievably you can eat as much as you like at the Brown Trout, seconds is not a problem. Food was good, help yourself to veg and trimmings. The service was fantastic with the lady serving the meat going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Christmas decorations in the bar are fantastic. We really enjoyed.

Clean pub very friendly staff I visited the brown trout pub many times over the years the new owners have turned this pub around. The Sunday lunch is out of this world. The drinks are very well priced and you can have a good night out. The pub also as live entertainment I would recommend a visit here

I had not long finished a night shift on Sunday morning and was delighted to know they offered takeaway Carvery. There were 3 meats to choose from: beef, Turkey and pork. All were nice and succulent. There was a variety of fresh vegetables with lovely thick gravy and selection of sauces. My Nan and I loved the meals. I recommend it to anyone and will definitely come again.

Second time coming here on a Sunday and this is the opening week for their carvery. This is our new first choice spot for a Sunday lunch, I had the pork and my spouse had the beef and turkey. Pork was lovely and moist without needing to hide any dryness with the gravy, the turkey was great and the beef was also very good. The chef Sally gives generous portions of the meat and the veg seems to be getting rotated regularly for stock level and freshness. Today was a trial price of £8.95 per adult, but will normally be £11.95 per adult and £8.95 per child. Outstanding value for money. Only thing to watch out for is parking is difficult, but it's worth that.

Went for a Valentine's meal. Food was beautifully presented and was stunning. I had the prawns to start and could easily have had them as main. Then came the main, wow! Delicious fillet steak cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit.

Had Sunday lunch here and was delicious I went back for a 2nd visit for a 40th birthday family meal and was told when booking there would be a specialist menu as coming into the festive season. When we arrived we were told they are no longer doing this and an alternative menu was in place. The choice was limited and the kids menu was minimalistic. The food was of adequate portion size and Expensive.

Came for food and a few drink. Shared a huge 32 oz tomahawk with my partner, which was superb. Drinks were great. Service was fantastic and the pub is very well cared for. Will definitely be revisiting some time soon.
