“Wow did not expect to find this little gem here! Beautiful tasty vegan food in a cute little cafe. It was raining when we visited so we sat inside but also had a small courtyard that I am sure would be lovely on a warm sunny day.”

“We'd not been to The Bistro since Covid & it was lovely to be back. The restaurant has been redecorated & looks good. The staff as always were very friendly , welcoming & helpful. The menu was pretty much as it has always been with plenty of choice for all tastes. The food comes well presented is very tasty , well cooked & plentiful. Just a shame that they do not offer their special mid week offers any more which would maybe tempt us to visit more often. We brought 2 friends with us who had never been here before & they too were very impressed & pleased with their meals. We look forward to our next visit.”

“Lovely little restaurant, looks like a little house from outside, but lovely on entering, the staff were friendly. They explained the menu well when asked about various dishes. We love seafood so we were very pleased with the offerings on the menu, the flavours did not disappoint, my husband ordered the dressed crab & oh my word it was beautiful. We not from Southport so googled this before booking & it didn’t disappoint. We will definitely be back when visiting again.”

“Absolute must visit if you’re coming to Chester - all the best bakeries on industrial estates! Usher’s is no exception. Highly recommend the bacon and cheese croissant! “We went last Sunday 10th March for Mother's Day. Food was fresh, tasty and wonderful as always. The roast lamb and beef dinners are outstanding. Service was impeccable.....friendly and professional with all food coming out piping hot. We visit here often as it's such a gem.”

It was a great surprise, we had delicious food and Ula who was our waitress delivered an impeccable service, she was extremely friendly and kind. “From the moment we called to make our reservation, the service was exceptional. Stavros was incredibly polite and friendly on the phone, and that same warm attitude continued when we arrived — he greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table with genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the cooking. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience was truly fantastic. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be returning!”

“My girlfriend found this place on the internet so we tried it out while we were in Southport , the place was quiet due to the fact the Champions league final was on and everyone was in the bars! As soon as we walked in we were made to feel as home by the gaffer, he couldn't do enough for us! The food was good and so was the Turkish beer, we chose different dishes from the Greek, Turkish and Spanish tapas menu and left full to the brim. The bill was a reasonable price too. We were very impressed by the interior of this restaurant and by the lovely painted Murals on the wall of different parts of the med. We had a lovely time and would recommend a visit here!”

“Food here was top marks, best have had for a long time staff where very attentive always near if you ever needed them. Lovely location coffee and cocktails are the best I had a half breakfast and that filled me and my friend had the eggs Benedict OMG wish I could of eaten more as I would of ordered that as well looked delish.very close to all shops as well so if you are traveling out for the day or weekend would highly recommend going here for your breakfast and dinner as you won't get better.”

“First time visiting here today. Really cosy atmosphere, spotlessly clean. Very friendly and welcoming member of staff. We ordered drinks and some Halloumi Fries and some Olives, Hummus and Pitta and all was very nicely presented and tasted beautiful. Will definitely be back to this little gem that's just a few steps off Lord Street.”

“Heard about this cafe from family members, and from their recommendation we made it on Saturday. Well worth that visit, amazing. First off this place is small so when we had a party of eight, it could have been tricky. No reservations are taken but they did say if we could wait 15 mins they could accommodate us. Excellent. Other reviews say the coffee is excellent, I'll agree with that. Stayed hot for ages too! The Amor breakfast at £8.25 is a steel and well worth it. A smaller version at £6.25 is available. Tastes amazing. Staff excellent and friendly. Well worth a return visit. Well done the Amor team.”

“Absolutely the best restaurant not just in Merseyside but in the country. It is unique with only about 16 diners, and an ever changing menu with a chef that is just amazing. Every time we go, we always say it's the best meal we have ever had, tasting the food is just the most wonderful experience. The inside decoration is incredible as well, you feel like you are in an incredible mixture of opulence and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Pauline is an incredible host as are her team. We will continue to go there and take our friends whose eyes light up when they walk in and then for a second time when they taste the food. Don't think, just book a table, this is a bucket list experience.”

“Best breakfast in the area bar none. We (Three of us) go for breakfast every Monday in a 10 mile radius of mold, and value for money, quality food and friendly service they are right up with the best, try the ultimate breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!”

“Came back here as I remember really liking the place as a child and was still amazed with how good the restaurant still is. Me and my partner came into the restaurant at 19:30 on a Friday and greeted by the staff which were super friendly. The restaurant was very quiet as well which was very nice to see so we had no problem being seen when we needed to by the staff. Great selection on the menu and we chose the Seafood platter which we both really liked the look of as well as some extra garlic bread. We both really enjoyed the food. Although we would suggest avoiding the garlic bread as it was £4.70 and we only got two small pieces which we didn’t think was too great. Although we thought the seafood platter was really good for the price. We both really enjoyed all the food and would definitely come again.”

“Been here before for dinner but just needed to jump on quickly to rave about the breakfast I had here earlier. Drinks: The coffee is reallly good. Food: Had the full wreckfish (basically an F.E.), and it was poppin-aff! All the ingredients were spot on. I normally judge a place's full english on how they do the tomato and this was pwoper tasty - cooked and seasoned perfectly. The bacon was perfect too. I didn't have the black pudding - because NO, but my mate said his was sound. Done meself over here now as craving it again on the reminisce. Service: Got served by some girl I think she was the manager. Clocked her working all the other covers and she was great. Solid 10/10 Wreckfish. Is right. TLDR: chiggity check yourself in next time your in town for breakfast and full wreckfish yoself.”

“My husband and I visited The Queen’s Wine Bar & Bistro on Sunday evening. It’s a lovely little place, nestled in on The Queen’s Avenue; just off Castle Street. The young gentleman, at front of house, was extremely friendly, polite and attentive throughout our visit. To be fair, the entire staff were!! We put in a special request, prior to our visit, and the Chef very gracefully agreed. Have to say our food delicious!!! We did thank everyone, before we left, as it’s important to pass on much deserved compliments; it’s far too easy to criticise these days. Cannot fault this establishment and would definitely visit again!! Whomever owns The Queens you should be extremely proud of your team!!”

“I was given a friendly welcome and during my visit I tried one of the small plate dishes they serve - seabass with mussels, coconut and massaman, served on a bed of tenderstem broccoli. The plate might have been small but the portion was generous and beautifully tasty. Highly recommended.”

“More reasonably priced than its predecessor, Antalya is a lovely looking bistro serving wholesome turkish food. Staff are very friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. When we visited we didnt book, however it soon filled up, so will consider reserving a table in future.”

“Had an absolutely delicious 2 course meal as part of the early bird menu. It was slightly cold in there as we were first there but the food more than made up for it. Would definitely visit again maybe wearing something a bit warmer.”
