“A lovely and cozy place for a soup of the day and a Sandwich or a wrap. Super fast service, small selections of dishes and friendly staff that made recomendations. Also quite cheap! Less than 10 £ for soup and wrap”
“The most incredible Sunday lunch we have ever had! Chris & Caroline make you feel so welcome and at home and are the loveliest couple. The food was incredible, we would make the 2 hour drive from home to eat here again!”
“We’ve been a few times now and every time the food is unbelievable. Today we’ve had the best roast we’ve ever had. Massive portions and absolutely delicious! Thank you as ever.”
“We had the most lovely evening here for food and drinks. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, made us feel very welcome! Our food was delicious and we will definitely come back if we are in the area again!”
“I ate here last week while visiting West Kirby. First impression, the staff were great; welcoming, helpful and friendly (I’m disabled and use a mobility scooter). The food was delicious; I had yellow curry with tofu and rice. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for everything that makes a visit to a restaurant special.”
“Vast, clean and modern venue. Excellent food served by very skilled students.”
“Beautiful place. The food was delicious. Forget the chains like chiquitto or las iguanas, the food here was amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive and it was very reasonable. 2 drinks, 2 sides and 2 mains for less than £50. The atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant is decorated lovely. Absolutely gem of a find. Can’t wait to go back.”
“Best restaurant on the Wirral by far. The food is amazing, the attention to detail and the flavours are top class. The cocktails and wine list are fabulous, and the service is perfect. Definitely my favourite restaurant, love it.”
“Lino’s was recommended to us and what a wonderful experience. The layout of the restaurant is so relaxing the food memorable and the staff were fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is a must if you are staying on the Wirral.”
“This is a great place to stop off for a quick vegetarian/ vegan lunch. Their falafel bowls and wraps go down a treat for me and my girlfriend, we are always served with a smile and the price is unbeatable for a healthy lunch smashing in your 5 a day. Would definitely recommend getting either one of their smoothies or juices”
“Amazing from start to finish. Food was amazing tingly tender and tasty cooked to perfection. Choices of sides are livemy. The meat just keeps coming around, service is great. Must try the cinnamon pineapple for desert. Will definitely go back!”
“Lovely food and even better service. Staff very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely come back. Thank you.”
“Fantastic food. The team were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. I would highly recommend. Look forward to visiting again.”
“Very nice atmosphere good ambiance. . Great people. authentic Indian tasting food. Nice laugh with friends”
“I like a steak restaurant. I love good steak. Beautifully textured, rich and with a nice pink centre. Such flavours. The mouth waters. There are good steakhouses and bad steakhouses though; and trying a new one is always a bit risky, feels dangerous - you hope for so much and don’t want to feel the crushing blow of disappointment. I mean, don’t get me wrong - I don’t have steak that often, as it’s oh so very rich, but I do like it to be nice when I do and I don’t like to waste my time. So anyhow, I decided to have a steak. I’d heard about this place previously and had spotted it tucked away down this little back street – the outside looks like an old house, so that’s probably was it was. It looks classy though, discrete like a good steakhouse should be. Entered up some steep stairs on a Monday evening, without a reservation no less, and was able to bag a table anyway – the dining room itself was petit, to the rear of the ground floor with a mere 20 covers. Stairs leading up hinted at further dining space on an upper floor, but that remained a mystery on this occasion. The dining room itself was tastefully decorated, with booths and small tables. For some reason the people in the artwork had been swapped for cows – that was odd, but in keeping with the theme. The theme, naturally, was beef. Quick and friendly service – good range of drinks but again, only a Diet Coke this week for me as I continue to pay homage to my liver ahead of the festive period. Many beers and much wine on the list though. Small menu, with a handful of grazing bites (starters as we might call them…) a selection of sides & sauces and, the centrepiece, the meat. You know what they say though, small menu often means quality menu. Opted to split a couple of the bites to start – some of the croquettes of the day (ham & cheese) and some halloumi bites. Both came with gorgeous sauces, unctuous and rich, mustard and BBQ. The croquettes were particularly superb, little deep-fried balls of joy, bursting with flavour and heat. The halloumi was also tasty – a good texture to the crust. The size of these portions was excellent, they were not too big to detract from the main event, but also not so small that you’d feel insulted. For the main, I opted for the flatiron steak – this is the cheaper cut but I do find it tasty. Cooked to a medium, with a nice pink centre, this is served sliced with rocket and parmesan – the steak itself had a buttery texture, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Went down very well, a true delight. To accompany the steak, a Pfefferkorn sauce and, weirdly, potato waffles with fried eggs. I had to order the latter, instead of chips, just because it was so out of place – not had potato waffles since I was about 12. These were deep-fried though and hand topped with golden-domed eggs, plump and juicy, bursting with the expectation of a fountain of yolk. These were not the waffles of my youth. These were excellent. The peppery rocket with the steak went really well with it too – a nice complimentary hit of flavour. There were also garlic mushrooms available. In retrospect, I should have had those as well. No room for dessert on this occasion, but I see there was a cheesecake of the day – as long as that’s not a white chocolate cheesecake, I’m sure that’ll be lovely. A deerdog likes a good cheesecake. Overall this was an excellent steak at a reasonable price. Two paws up and I’ll be back here in future for another. I might try one of the specials – I had a look online and I see there has been steak & risotto and steak & pasta offered previously. Mmm.”
“Food was beautiful, real Jamaican vibe. Service from Mo was amazing, he couldn't do enough for us. Cocktails kept flowing at all times ha. Tried most the menu, all so nice. Calm quiet atmosphere with some quiet music in the background. Love the Turtle Bay, Worth every penny. Definitely be back very soon.”
“If taste buds could dance, mine were definitely doing the reggae at Turtle Bay in Liverpool. The food? Absolute yum! The staff were friendly, fast, and somehow managed to keep their cool even while balancing trays of food that looked like works of art. They made us feel like VIPs… or at least VIBs (Very Important Bellies) The vibe is laid-back, colourful, and the kind of place where you could happily enjoy a tummy full meal.”
“Excellent experience tonight with my wife and 2 daughters. Food is excellent as well as the service. Not our local so was apprehensive, found Panchi via tastecard. Made the 30 min journey and have to say will be back. What stands out is they control the heat of their dishes. I've had 2 stars spice in other places and it's blew the head of me. Tonight the spice level was controlled really well. Decent prices as well even better with a tastecard. Parking can be a pain but there is a big car park about 4 minute walk just around the corner and it's free.”
“My daughter and I stumbled on this restaurant run by the college and we were very pleased at the discovery. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was very clean and nicely presented. The staff are all in training, they're friendly and trying hard, so give them a little patience and they'll be good.”
“Simply excellent in all aspects of our dining experience. We stayed for two nights, eating in the 3 star restaurant on the first night and the 1 star restaurant on our second night. Both were exceptional. They are very clever chefs who ensure the dining experience is perfect. I would absolutely recommend Moor Hall to everyone, it's special.”
“A lovely unassuming fine dinning experience in a friendly, relaxed (read unstuffy) environment. Took my mother as a birthday treat for the 3 course Tasting Lunch on a Sat. Started with a Kir Champagne, followed by an amazing little appetizer, which only added to the experience. Fresh made bread like we've never tasted before. A nice glass of wine for us both. The menu is seasonal but we had starters of haddock and pork for me, followed by mains of cod loin and chicken (so succulent). Mum had an apple cheese cake and I, the cheese board, followed by a coffee. All were amazing and not too filling. Service was excellent from all staff from beginning to end. Highly recommended”
“Very pleasant staff. The food and wine is amazing. I recommend!”
“It was my first time going there . The lovely Gentleman who was behind the counter was very friendly and the meals he done you, you got a lot for your money and it tastes great . It is definatley value for money I would recommend anyone to go there , I will certainly go back again x”
“Lovely Sunday lunch served here. Part of the college so unsure what it's like during term time but of a Sunday it's really nice, quite full but we'll spaced so didn't feel too busy. Food couldn't be faulted”
“Always an amazing dining experience. Seriously, if you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out. As usual, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The menu is amazing, but we always let the owner choose for us. Today, we had a mix of appetisers and then on to a mixed meat platter......check out the pics! Absolutely delicious, will be back very soon!”
“Can’t wait to come back! I recently came here as part of my 30th birthday celebrations and was not disappointed in the slightest. Their food is out of this world and each dish is so unique! My favourite was the accompanying wine as this complimented each dish perfectly! I’d definitely recommend getting the tasting menu but I’m sure you’d love anything from here! Will be booking again soon.”
“I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years and it’s always been a great experience. All the girls are lovely, especially Morna who never fails to make my waxing a pleasant experience with her professionalism, skills and her personality just in general. I highly recommend to anyone”
“Lovely café with friendly staff. Only pipped in here from a couple of hot drinks but will definitely be coming again for food.”
“Another fabulous dinner at The White Horse. You can tell the ingredients are of a high quality and the food is prepared with appreciation and great attention to detail. The flavours are stunning and each dish seasoned to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A very well run establishment and deserves to do so well. The drive to and from The White Horse is beautiful. Make it your destination soon for some delicious food.”
“Love this place, staff are friendly, amazing food. What more do you want. I think now they are only a takeout.”
