Being able to sit with a view of the spinnaker tower and the water just tops the atmosphere. What topped it even more was getting a free main course for my birthday month!”

“Very relaxed atmosphere, at no time did we feel under pressure to order, plates weren't cleared until we had finished eating, excellent range of dishes on the menu, my guest is vegetarian and there was a good range of dishes for her to select from. Staff were welcoming, friendly and professional, the restaurant was very clean. My guest has lived in Lebanon for several years and assured me about the authenticity of the cuisine. Prices are very reasonable, I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.”

“I don't often write reviews, but this pizza was an absolute standout meal. After a quick chat with the lovely waitress and then chef, I settled on the Calabrese. Fantastic rich tasting base and sauce, with plenty of flavoursome toppings. As a local favourite establishing their first shopfront I wish them very well. I would certainly go out of my way to return again should I have the chance from Australia.”

“Wow!!!! We could easily give more than 5 stars. There was 9 of us but we experienced fantastic service and the most AMAZING food. The portions are really big but so tasty you can't stop eating. “Had a really lovely, relaxed lunch here. Food was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. Service was great - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. 4 stars for atmosphere may be a bit unfair as we went at a quiet time with only one other customer, so difficult to rate, but we were glad it was quiet so we could talk and background music was at a pleasant volume. Would add a star for the fact this place was actually open and serving food at 2.30 on a saturday afternoon when everywhere else around had closed their kitchens! Would happily return.”

“My partner and I made a booking for his 30th birthday. We went and ordered the mains straight away.I got the Kleftico, which was soooo good I can’t even explain, the meat was coming off the bones literally! Just talking about it makes my mouth water! My partner got the Pollo Involtine another show stopper, everything in the plate goes so well together, just finger licking good! And then for dessert we shared a sticky toffee pudding which was perfectly designed as a birthday dessert. Other than the fabulous food, that warmth and the hospitality of the staffs are out of this world! I can’t even recommend Da Vinci Restaurant enough, so much so that we live in the mainland and are already planning on when we can come back to Isle of Wight just so we can come back to Da Vinci Restaurant again!”

“My only slight criticism is that the place could do with a little redecorating but I imagine after the last couple of years that expenditure isn't a high priority. I can get over that as the food was fantastic. For the quality of food, prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend the pork main and the peach dessert. We had such a great evening of eating with some lovely wine. We will definitely be back!”

“A really nice, friendly Mediterranean restaurant offering really good food and excellent service. I called in here en route to Southampton for my daughter's birthday primarily because of the good reviews here on Google. I can honestly say that the reviews are accurate. The whitebait, calamari and prawns we perfectly cooked and my steak was as expertly cooked as any I've ever had outside of London. The service was excellent and our host, Bethany, made us and most importantly my daughter feel very welcome on her birthday. We'll certainly return if we're ever in the area again!”

“Tried this lovely restaurant tonight as we are in the area for 24 hours only, went for a walk and decided, quite late, that we were hungry. We were lucky enough to get a table as the kitchen was about to close. We had Pad See-Ew, mine with chicken, his with giant prawns, and a chicken satay sharer starter. The satay sauce was delicious; I've never had one like it before. The Pad See-Ew were amazing, piled high with good stuff and extremely tasty. I couldn't eat all of mine so I have it as takeaway. The restaurant is intimate and very comfortable. Don't walk past it. The prices are excellent, especially for a seaside area. If you're visiting Southsea, then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I promise you, you will find excellent food, which is great value, and absolutely the kindest staff in the area.”

“Been here loads of times and always drag my colleagues along when we're in town. Informal and friendly with great fresh wholesome food. Prices are reasonable and they serve olives, chilli sauce and warm flat bread as a complimentary appetiser. Try the excellent Turkish wine. Food is cooked over hot coals in the restaurant for an authentic flavour.”

Chicken Beyti for main was very tasty, mild and good size, could not finish it all. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even booked us a taxi for the way back. Would go again when back in Portsmouth or Southsea.”

We got the scallops from the a la carte menu and combined that with the set menu and were throughly happy with service (Sofia, our server was excellent!) and quality of food as well as the generous serving size. The smoked duck was just delicious! The gazpacho too was a delight- the Skate had been deboned so no messing around with bones! I ordered the Fillet of Hake and was blown away by the sauces. The food ate well separately as well as with different combinations. My brother got the Korean BBQ and the puffed corn on this was a fabulous surprise! The roasted scallops had an amazing peach-chilli zing. And save space for desserts! So delicious and super tasty. The dishes are delightful, imaginative and delicious. Definitely recommend making a booking to eat here.”

I was welcomed by the General Manager and her team with coffee and freshly made cookies. Incredibly welcoming. The team looked after our wedding guests with care abd attention ensuring my couple had THE best day. Our service went perfectly with tge GM delivering sentimental items into the service for me to get the tone just right. Ice cream was served to all the guests whilst my couple signed thier certificate, and all in all they had the best day. Thank you for looking after me so very well, I hope to be back!”

“We have used this restaurant for the past 3 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. We visit in house 2-3 times a year on our birthdays and anniversaries. And have at least 1 takeaway a month. Always with 10% discount on collection. Wether eating in or take away the food is amazing. So tasty, generous portions and cooked to perfection. And very fairly priced. The mango and pistachio ice creams are always a must after the meal. The staff are always so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly and professional but can still have a laugh and a joke about which adds to the atmosphere and ambiance. We have always booked before eating in as you can rarely get seated if you just walk in-a tell tale sign of just how good it is here. Very clean, and mellow authentic Indian decor throughout. Definitely recommend this place”
