“Whilst out enjoying the day, popped head in to see if had to book. Currently taking walk-ins. Went for afternoon tea. Before ordering check tea menu. As could have of main list not just a basic tea. Pick your choice well, some interesting flavours. Minor issue, but well sorted by the staff at the time. A loverly time in there, will be back. Big thanks to Sarah whom looked after us today, on our first visit.”

“An excellent chippy, had the best battered sausage in there, tempura style batter I think! Kids loved the chips (no salt) and I thought the free lunch tea or coffee is a brilliant idea!”

“So what can I say! May not look like a majestic 5 star food exterior but oh my. I ordered a king prawn biriyani and the Mrs ordered a Korma. The food was beautiful. They also catered for a change in the special fries rice and the floor staff are well polite and professionally dressed.”

“My Husband and I were out on a long walk and fancied a grilled sandwich so we searched places nearby that served what we were craving on google and it came up with The Bun Penny. We found the menu and were sold! We were so impressed! The pub was welcoming, warm and homely. The lad who served us was so polite and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing, that home made slaw...OMG! and they actually serve Pepsi max, No-one ever seems too. Absolutely thrilled with our unplanned lunch date and would definitely return. We did have to extend our walk home though as we were soooo full up we needed to walk it off. Portion sizes were immense.”

“Oh my goodness! I love this little independent coffee shop! The whole team are welcoming and lovely. The coffee is smooth and hits the spot, and the food is simply delish! My faves are their Tuna & Cheese Toasted Sandwich with the Blondie for pudding to go with my cappuccino. There’s lots of yummy treats to choose from and their hot chocolate is PROPER hot chocolate. Definitely recommend.”

“Dropped in here on a Thursday evening without a reservation. The restaurant wasn't busy. The food was excellent. The bread, olives and hummus were a meal in themselves. The mixed shish was ample and very tasty. Service was prompt and polite. Can recommend!”

“Excellent selection of well made curries all fresh and flavourfull. The staff were very chatty and helpful The starters were Shahee mixed kebab and king prawn puree In the picture its a chicken tikka massala Lahore lamb chops, cheese naan, lemon rice and a saag paneer. All great”

“A large bag of chips for lunch after a 9 mile walk. Tasted ridiculously decadent. I haven't had take away chips for as long as I remember. After this I'm questioning myself sanity...why!! Just wish the happy smiley server was heavy handed on the salt and vinegar!”
