An excellent chippy, had the best battered sausage in there, tempura style batter I think! Kids loved the chips (no salt) and I thought the free lunch tea or coffee is a brilliant idea!

Really good fish and chips as they should be - freshly cooked, crispy battered fish and lovely chips. We've lived long enough to have been disappointed too many times when having this so-called 'national dish', when you're served a mass of greasy, slimy stodge. Not here. They were great and to be recommended.

We drive from Fareham for the fish and chips here as they are always so good. This evening I cannot say the same. A combination of half-cooked chips and battered cod so overcooked it was more like jerky. I hope this was just a blip.

Great to see mackerel on the menu - a more sustainable fish. Delicious fish, great crispy batter not too thick. Chips were good - prefer a bit more cooked - but portion very generous. Huge menu with lots of choices incl veggies. Well done! Highly recommend

Friendly, efficient & polite service. Fantastic chippy. Best Fish & Chips by/for miles!

Usually we love this place but very disappointed yesterday. Ordered a large fish and medium chips along with some other bits. When we got home the chips were in a cardboard carton with the fish on top instead of being bagged like usual. The portion of chips was so tiny it wouldn't have even classed as a small portion normally. Hopefully this doesn't happen again as the food is great.

Have been here a few times and each time the cod has been nice and not battered too much. Definitely one to try if you haven't.

Not a place to done out. Definitely a place to buy take away (not take out.... we're British!) genius fish and chips. So good food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Bit of a wait as the food was freshly cooked. Server very friendly. Very tasty.
